Finally, in 1999, after chasing this vision, it became a reality for us when we began our own wine brand. In retrospect, this is why we named our wine, "Maboroshi", a Japanese term for extraordinary visions. It is our passion for wine and our commitment to each other's dreams that has driven us thus far... We've dedicated this wine to our lovely daughter, Aimee, whose graduation from college coincided with our 10th anniversary of Maboroshi wines in 2009. Little did she know at 4 as she frolicked in the Grand Cru vineyards of Chambertin, her father was busy carving out a plan to create his own precious pinot noir. A bit austere at first with an underlying intensity that promises aging potential. An earthy black cherry, blueberry nose explodes into an Asian spice, tobacco and dusty rose before finishing with seamless black currant and raspberry tastes. 100% Pinot Noir; 9 months of French Oak barrel aging 25% new; 75 cases produced... winery vineyard focus on pinot noir, chardonnay..
