Dillon Martinez

Dillon has over 10 years experience in biomedical materials. Beginning at DSM Biomedical, Dillon was involved with developing and validating QC methods and characterization of polymers using a variety of chromatography and material testing techniques. After DSM and prior to joining Medterials, Dillon worked on small molecule drug delivery for Heron Therapeutics. Dillon has a BS in Biochemistry and a BA in Classics from University of California, Santa Barbara

Robert Bley

Bob has over 40 years experience in Medical Device Industry. Over the course of 23 years in various R&D roles, in addition to 14 years as a Manufacturer's Representative for David Schnur Associates in the SF Bay Area, he has learned a wide variety of technologies and the ways they are used in many Lifescience applications. Bob has worked at startups, including Menlo Care and Circulation and at Johnson and Johnson and American Hospital Supply. He has also worked as Project Leader/Engineer for contract engineering service companies in the catheter industry. Bob has a BS in chemistry and is an avid cyclist.

Ron Yamamoto

Ron Yamamoto has over 40 years of experience in design and development of biomaterials, implants, surgical devices and drug delivery systems. Ron has directed or contributed to the development of numerous commercial medical products ranging from degradable implants to minimally invasive surgical devices. Ron's business experience includes the founding of three medical companies, development and commercialization of multiple medical products, corporate partnerships in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, management of clinical development, product registration and intellectual property. Ron graduated from the California Institute of Technology fulfilling requirements in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, with post graduate studies in Biomaterials Engineering at Clemson University and Biochemistry at University of California. Ron has also served as an outside board member and advisor for several venture funded medical start-up companies.

Stan Conston - CEO, COO, Founder

Stan Conston has over 40 years experience in Medical Device design, development, testing, manufacturing and operations. Stan has been a founder, founding team member, early employee and senior staff member for a variety of LifeScience companies in the Silicon Valley including iScience Interventional, Ross Design Works, Modified Polymer Components, POINT Biomedical and Vitaphore Corp. Stan has also provided consulting services for large and small companies as well as individuals working on novel product ideas. Stan received a degree in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Tien Nguyen

Job Titles:
  • Director of Analytical Services
Tien Nguyen has over 25 years of experience in protein isolation and characterization, biochemical activity and screening, drug analysis and product formulation. Tien has been a scientific contributor for several Bay Area companies including Microcide Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Marin Biologic Laboratories, Inc., and iScience Interventional Corporation. Tien has developed numerous analytical characterization methods and assays for biomaterials and drugs using techniques including chromatography, immunoassays, and drug isolation from tissues. Tien earned an undergraduate degree in biochemistry at Cal State University of Los Angeles and a doctorate degree in biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University.
