NADIG FAMILY FARM

John and Charlotte Nadig and their family live in rural Rochelle, Illinois. In 2007, we started this farming venture in the DeKalb area, with the desire to raise healthier food. We always have had a desire to farm while not seeing much opportunity to get started using conventional methods. But after reading a book by Joel Salatin, You Can Farm, we were inspired to start small and focus on quality. Our vision was opened up to an entirely new world of farming called "Grass-Farming." This philosophy struck a chord in our hearts. We read all of Joel's books, John visited his farm in Virginia, and we got started! We started small selling the extra, while our family enjoyed the fruits of our labor. We are training up the next generation of farmers, as our kids work right beside us...
