Hope the Giraffe is a character created on behalf of Novartis to help support kids (and the parents of those kids) who suffer from auto-immune diseases. For 2018, to raise awareness on her Facebook page, we created an AR camera world effect that lets kids watch Hope come to life in AR as she encourages them with her messages of support... While potentially a bit gimmicky for a research report, our client was very proud of this book and so were we. I always thought this would be a great way to present a children's book. This app was built for iOS with Unity3d using Qualcomm's Vuforia SDK... I was the tech lead and one of two front end developers (along with the amazing Greg Kepler) on this project for Samsung, which allowed users to select a pattern and have tweets of their choosing delivered to them on a sheet of wrapping paper.
