Edmund C. Olson

Job Titles:
  • Trustee
  • Trust No. 2
With the wealth he amassed during a successful business career, Edmund C. Olson could afford to treat the rest of his life like a vacation. Instead, the Hilo resident continues adding to his significant Hawaii Island land holdings and business interests, diving into projects that keep him on the move. "I could have a beautiful yacht sitting out in Monaco," he says. "Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? But I'd rather get up and go to work. I'd rather do things. That's what I like to do." Olson, an experienced developer, says he will guide the project himself. "The story of my life is hands on," he says. "The story of my life is I've done everything myself. I've never had major partners. I've been a do-it-yourself guy."

Frank Lorenzo

Job Titles:
  • Orchard Manager
Frank Lorenzo Sr. has been with Olson Trust/Ka'u Farms Management since September 2006. He joined the team, at that time, as a heavy equipment operator, and did land clearing and shaping for the Ka'u Coffee Mill site and surrounding coffee and younger macadamia nut orchards. Frank was born, raised, and still lives in Pahala, Hawaii Island. He and his wife Mahina have been together since 1989 and have 3 children. Before joining Olson Trust he worked many years for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company, then decided to move on to operate heavy equipment. He became the supervisor for the heavy equipment operation Hawaii Forest Works LLC, doing contract work for Forest Solutions and the Kamehameha Schools Land Division. He is also a rancher/paniolo and a board member for the Wood Valley Water and Farm Coop.

Home Donna

Donna is the Event & Booking Manager for the Wainaku Executive Center. Born on Oahu & raised on the Big Island she is honored to preserve the rich history and share in the many events hosted at what is formally known as the Wainaku Sugar Mill. The location now serves as a wedding & special event venue. Her experience in food & beverage helps assist her clients in planning their special day and assuring smooth sailing from the moment you inquire to the departure of your last guest. Donna also enjoys sharing the space with community by organizing events that support other small businesses. Being a small business owner herself of a fitness studio she has established sustainable relationships with local vendors. Your vision, our connections. Donna likes to think of the Wainaku private estate as Hilo's hidden gem. The sense of Aloha here is like no other, small town feel with modern day accommodations. It doesn't get any better than this.
