Coach Winter played high school basketball for his father and NBBA Executive Director, Rick Winter, at Marin Catholic. In his senior year, Coach Winter led his team in scoring, served as a team captain and earned the honors of MCAL All-League Second Team and Honorable Mention All-Bay Area. After graduating from Marin Catholic High School, Coach Winter attended Ithaca College (IC) in Ithaca, NY to study Sport Management. Throughout his time at IC, he served on the Athletics Game Day Event Staff and worked alongside Assistant Athletic Director, Michelle Manning, managing Ben Light Gymnasium scheduling and aiding with special projects, such as team budgets and organizing bus contracts / proposals for multiple intercollegiate teams. In January 2013, he was named a Game Day Supervisor where he oversaw game operations for 27 intercollegiate athletic teams at campus facilities (including one the country's top facilities, the Athletics & Events Center). He also managed a student staff of about eight students during game days, served as a liaison for away teams and officials, and worked multiple postseason and NCAA Division III Championship events. While serving as a student worker at IC, Coach Winter also served as a student manager for Cornell University Men's Basketball team from August 2012 through December 2013. With Cornell he was an active participant during practices and games, worked out players before and after practices as well as during the offseason, and assisted with travel plans for team road trips. He also aided coaches with organizing their recruiting databases and creating itineraries for recruiting trips. In December 2013, Coach Winter graduated a semester early with Magna Cum Laude honors from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Economics. On January 1st, 2014, he began working for NBBA's sister program in Miami, the Erik Spoelstra Basketball Academy (ESBA) as the Associate Director. With ESBA he was in charge of all day-to-day duties with skill clinics, camps, and travel teams. While in Miami he helped place numerous players at the next level, whether it be at the Junior College, NAIA, or NCAA level. He finished working with ESBA in November 2015. Coach Winter has been working with NBBA on and off since 2010. He was an active participant in the opening of NBBA and created the Academy's logo. During the summers while he was home from college, Coach Winter was in charge and oversaw the summer high school tournaments and incoming freshman league, coached travel teams, ran skill clinics, and also worked out college players preparing them for their upcoming seasons. In November 2015, he moved back to Northern California and was named the Director of Business Development and Director of the HS Showcase Teams & Team Travel.

Coach Donnellan grew up in Marin County and played basketball at Marin Catholic High School before going on to play at the University of California, at Davis. In 1981, Coach Donnellan was selected as a first team all-league player while leading the Marin County Athletic League in scoring, averaging 20.6 points per game. Coach Donnellan began his coaching career in 1989 as the Junior Varsity Boys' Head Coach and Varsity Boys' Assistant at Sir Francis Drake High School. From 1989-1991, he captured three straight MCAL titles with his JV teams while assisting legendary Drake coach Pete Hayward at the varsity level. In 1992, Coach Donnellan became the Varsity Boys' Head Coach at Drake and coached the team for 23 seasons, amassing 445 wins. His varsity teams won ten Marin County Athletic League titles, two North Coast Section crowns, and two Northern California championships. Eighteen of his teams participated in the North Coast Section playoffs, with seven of those squads advancing to the Northern California regional state playoffs. His 1994 and 2014 teams captured the Northern California championship and appeared in the California State Championship game. Over the course of his career at Drake, Coach Donnellan helped develop 16 players who went on to have successful careers at the collegiate level, including five who played at the Division 1 level and six who played professionally in numerous countries. Coach Donnellan ranks 3rd on the all-time list for Marin County Athletic League wins with a record of 215-105 (67.2%) and is the winningest coach in Drake history. In November of 2010, Coach Donnellan was inducted into the Marin Athletic Foundation's Hall of Fame. The North Coast Section named Coach Donnellan their 2013 Basketball Honor Coach for his contributions on and off the court. In 2014, he was named the Northern California Division 3 Coach of the Year. Coach Donnellan has been coaching the 17U Showcase team for the North Bay Basketball Academy since 2013, and is the NBBA Director of Camps and Director of Coaching.

Coach Lott was a three-sport high school athlete playing football, basketball, and football at Paradise High School (Chico, CA). As a football player, he played quarterback and free safety for his varsity team that went 9-2 his senior year. As a basketball player, he helped his team win the Northern Section title during his junior season and averaged 16.5 PPG in his senior year. As a baseball player, Coach Lott was a two-time All-League selection. He went on to play baseball at Santa Rosa Junior College where he was named 1st Team All-Conference his sophomore season. He led the conference in doubles and stolen bases. After his sophomore year he transferred to Sonoma State University to play baseball until an injury his junior year derailed his college career. Even though he was better at baseball, basketball was always his passion and that's why he began a career in coaching basketball. Coach Lott began his high school coaching career in 2006 as an assistant coach under Ruben Noles at Elsie Allen HS. During that time he helped lead the Lobos to two North Coast Section appearances. In 2011, Coach Lott was named the varsity head coach at Elsie Allen High School. During his six years he compiled 70 wins. He led his team to their first ever league basketball championship in 2015. During the 2014 and 2015 seasons, his teams have recorded school records in wins (2014: 18-10 & 2015: 22-7). Both teams qualified for the NCS playoffs as well. In 2014 Coach Lott was named Youth Sports Network Coach of the Year. In 2015 he was named Sonoma County League Coach of the Year along with being awarded Press Democrat Coach of the Year. In 2017, Coach Lott was named the varsity head coach at Santa Rosa High School. In 4 Full seasons (2020 Covid Year) as the Varsity Head Coach at Santa Rosa Coach Lott has led the Panthers to 3 consecutive NCS appearances while winning 56 games in that span. In the spring of 2013, Coach Lott started coaching with NBBA. In the fall of 2014, he was promoted to Regional Director of Rohnert Park/Santa Rosa. As Director of Santa Rosa/Rohnert Park Coach Lott in 2015, he created our Future Stars K-8 League which has become one of our most attended programs in both regions for North Bay Basketball Academy. Coach Lott is also the founder of "In Tha Lab w/Coach Lott" training program. Coach Lott is currently the Regional Director of Sonoma County and has held that position since 2017. He has been integral in the major growth in Sonoma County since he took over.

Coach Turner grew up in Marin County and played his high school basketball at Marin Catholic. During an illustrious career, he was named MCAL Player of the Year in both his junior and senior year. In 2004 and 2005, the SF Chronicle named him to their All-Metro team. In 2005, he led Marin Catholic to their best season in school history (29-5) winning their fourth straight MCAL Championship, a Division 4 NCS Championship, and an appearance in the Nor Cal Championship (State Semifinals). That year he was named North Bay Player of the year by the SF Chronicle and Cal-Hi Sports selected him All-State Third Team. Coach Turner is second on Marin Catholic's career scoring list (1423) and first in career rebounds (968). After graduating from Marin Catholic, Coach Turner went on to play at West Valley Junior College where he was a standout leading the team to a regional title. Coach Turner then went on to to play Division 1 basketball at the University of Hartford where he was a two year captain and named to the Defensive 1st Team All-Conference. He became the first player in Hartford's Division I history to finish a season with more than 200 points, 150 rebounds, 100 assists and 50 steals. After graduating from the University of Hartford, he played professionally in Germany for two seasons. Coach Turner has been with NBBA since the beginning. He currently serves as the Associate Director and Director of Player Development. He has become known as one of the best player development trainers in northern California helping train numerous players at the college and professional levels. In 2014, Miami Heat head coach, Erik Spoelstra, brought him to Miami to in-service his coaching staff for his basketball academy.

Growing up in Burbank, California, Coach Washington played high school basketball at John Burroughs High School. He was awarded the Bill Flora Basketball Scholarship for academics and his hard work on the court, as well as in the community. Coach Washington began his coaching career by working at local YMCA and Golden State Warriors summer camps. He also coached teams for CYO and Park and Rec. In 2012, Coach Washington was hired as an assistant coach under head coach Pat Fuscaldo and associate head coach Rich Shayewitz at Sonoma State University. For four seasons, he had the responsibilities of writing scouting reports, drawing up game plans, on court instruction, academic monitoring and co-directing Sonoma State summer basketball camps. Beginning in 2015, Coach Washington served as the freshman head coach at Rancho Cotate High School for two seasons. In the fall of 2017, he was named the varsity head coach at Rancho Cotate. Coach Washington has been with North Bay Basketball Academy since the summer of 2015. In 2016, he was named the Associate Director of Sonoma County and in the summer of 2017 he was appointed Director of Tournaments. Since 2021 he has taken on the role of Director of Social Media.

Coach Iacopi grew up in Sonoma County and played his high school basketball at Petaluma High School. At Petaluma, he starred at guard and was named First Team All-League as a senior and averaged 17.0 PPG. Coach Iacopi began his coaching career at the elementary and middle school levels of CYO. In 2006, he was named the head coach at Kenilworth Junior High School and led them to an undefeated season (14-0). In 2007, he was named a JV assistant coach at Casa Grande HS and in 2008 he was named the head freshman coach. He led the freshman team to two league championships in his four seasons at the helm. In 2012, he was named the head JV coach and led them to two league championships in three seasons. In 2016, Coach Iacopi was named the varsity assistant coach at his alma mater, Petaluma High School. In his first season, he helped them reach their league title game and clinch an NCS playoff berth. Coach Iacopi has been with NBBA for the past five years. He has coached teams at numerous grade levels, directed summer camps, run skill clinics and is our Regional Director of Petaluma.

Rick Winter coached high school basketball for 25 years amassing an overall win-loss record of 456 - 252 (.644 winning %), including 20 years as a varsity head coach. He began his varsity coaching career at Damien High School in Southern California. In 1993, only his third year at the helm, he led Damien to only their second Baseline League title in the school's 40-year history. In 1995, Winter relocated to Northern California to become the varsity head coach at Marin Catholic High School. Over his 15-year career at Marin Catholic, Winter retired with the 4th highest win % (146 - 62; .701%) in Marin County Athletic League history and an overall won-loss record of 285 - 165 (.633 winning %) at the varsity level. He is the winningest coach in school history where he won six Marin County Athletic League Championships (four in a row from 2002-2005), three North Coast Section championships and four California State Playoff appearances, including two State Semi-Final appearances. Eight of Coach Winter's teams finished their season ranked in the top 10 of California's Division IV. Over the course of his 20 years as a varsity head coach, Winter also helped develop 18 players at Marin Catholic and Damien that went on to have successful careers at the collegiate level, including nine Division I players. Coach Winter was named the 2005 Northern California Division IV Coach of the Year and was named a North Coast Section Honor Coach in 2006 for his contributions to the game on and off the court. In the summer of 2010, Coach Winter opened the North Bay Basketball Academy. His goal was to improve the fundamentals and skills, as well as mold players into leaders in the local community, in Marin County, California. Through the first four years over 3,000 players have come through the program. In the summer of 2011, Winter became a consultant with Jeff Fryer, former LMU standout and professional basketball player, and the Fryer Basketball Academy in Newport Beach, California. In December 2013, Coach Winter partnered with Miami Heat head coach, Erik Spoelstra, to create the Erik Spoelstra Basketball Academy in Miami, Florida. Coach Winter was the Executive Director of ESBA. Most recently, Coach Winter partnered and served as a consultant with the Beach City Basketball Academy in Long Beach, California and is currently a consultant with First Coast Basketball Academy in Jacksonville, Florida.

Coach Bonfigli grew up in Sonoma County and played high school basketball at Cardinal Newman HS in Santa Rosa. At Cardinal Newman, he starred at point guard and still holds the school record for most assists in a single season (223 - 8.1 APG). While playing for the venerable Coach John Fitzgerald, he helped lead the Cardinals to the championship of the first Top of the Bay Classic (tournament prior to the formation of the NCS). After graduating from Cardinal Newman HS, Bonfigli went on to play at Santa Rosa Junior College where he started at point guard. Coach Bonfigli is currently the head coach at St. Vincent de Paul High School. He is entering his third season at SV and 41st season overall as a varsity head coach. He has had a historic coaching career at St. Vincent de Paul High School, Cardinal Newman High School and Justin Siena High School amassing 833 career wins, which ranks 7th all time in California state history and 28th among active coaches nationally. During his 41 year career, he has been named CA Division 4 Coach of the Year twice (1989, 2013), North Coast Section Honor Coach of the Year (2022), his teams have averaged 20 wins per season, he has won 15 league Championships, two NCS Championships, and two NorCal Championships. Coach Bonfigli also has developed and sent 35+ players to play at the collegiate level with seven playing at the Division 1 level. Coach Bonfigli joined NBBA in the Spring of 2017 and is currently the Director of Coaching in Sonoma County. He brings a wealth of basketball knowledge to the NBBA coaching staff and we are excited to have him on board!

Coach Butler is a Marin County native who attended Sir Francis Drake High School where he played three sports (basketball, baseball, football). He was a part of back to back NCS appearing teams (Runner-Up in 1992) as a three year varsity player. The 1992 team went 26-6, was the Co-MCAL Champion, before losing in the State semifinals. Coach Butler then attended the University of Arizona where he played rugby for National Team Head Coach and Basketball Play by Play announcer Dave Sitton for 2 years. In 2002 Coach Butler committed to teaching and coaching as a career. After 2 years assisting the Varsity Boys Basketball program at Marin Academy, where they made 2 straight BCL and NCS appearances, he moved down the street to become both Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and Athletic Director at San Rafael High School. He was the Head Coach for 8 years and remained on staff for a total of 12. The run included several NCS appearances, highlighted by a 21-10 season in 2011, still the only 20 win season since the late 90's. He continues to teach Physical Education and Health Science at SRHS. In 2018, Coach Butler took his coaching experience to the girls side by accepting the helm at San Marin High School. Over the last two years the Mustangs have won 38 games, making both the NCS and MCAL playoffs in each. The Mustangs went 21-10 in 2019-20, culminating in the school's first MCAL Championship appearance since 2012 and the first NCS championship in school history. He has also established the popular all girls Mustang Summer Girls Basketball Camp. Coach Butler has coached with NBBA since 2011, guiding teams from 4th grade to the High School Elite Travel, running group instruction, sitting on the board, volunteering for CYO coaching clinics, and being an ambassador to Marin basketball through various club programs. Coach Butler is married with 2 daughters, currently ages 10 & 12 that are passionate hoopers. He also coaches both of their CYO squads. Tony is also a 2 time Novato Girls Softball Coach of the Year. He is not just interested in Girls Athletics, he is invested.
