Orbit was founded in the early 1950's as a family run machine tool supplier to the US Air Force. Later, Orbit supplied machine tools to NASA and the aerospace industries. To supply the need for manufacturing facilities Orbit purchased warehouses and manufacturing facilities. In the 1970's Orbit diversified into self-storage... Today, Orbit U-Store is a successful self storage business in San Marcos, CA. It's success stems from the fact that it still remains a family operation with management and staff who know you by name, smile when they see you, and treat you like the family we consider you to be. Yes, we know that Orbit U-Store is a throwback to another time when people gave each other courtesy and consideration... Our prices are lower because, we are not a multi-national company.
