The Patient Participation Conference is a conference dedicated to helping patients take a proactive role in their own healthcare. e-patients (the "e" means primarily engaged or empowered, not electronic) are patients who view healthcare professionals as trusted advisers in their healthcare, rather than parental figures who make decisions for them.
