Dr. Yasmin Farid received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry in 2013. She is passionate about learning and expanding her knowledge of dentistry at every opportunity to provide her patients with the latest and greatest treatment available. Dr. Farid emphasizes open communication with her patients in order to make them comfortable and happy throughout the appointment. She is dedicated to teaching her patients everything they need to know about the treatment in order for everyone to be on the same page. Her personal mission includes developing trust, providing good communication, and presenting the best treatment available for each patient. Nothing makes Dr. Farid happier than seeing a patient leave the visit with a smile on their face. Dr. Farid is an active member of the Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and Hispanic Dental Association. She values continuing education courses and has focused much of this education on esthetics to improve patients' smile. Dr. Farid is proficient in providing invisalign treatment to straighten teeth and provides botox (and xeomin) treatment to address TMJ pain. Outside of the office, Dr. Farid works with Colgate Palmolive to provide lectures covering hot topics in dentistry to fellow dental colleagues. Dr. Farid was born and raised in the Chicagoland area. When she is not working on her patients' smiles, she is spending time with her family: husband Kevin, her son Marcus and dog Leroy. She loves trying new restaurants and working on her yoga practice. Currently she is learning more about photography and applying her new skills in the office.
