REYNOLDS VETERANS - Key Persons
Jeff Remington grew up in California and Oregon. He graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1977 and spent 35 years in the Air Force. He flew the F-15 and F-16 including a tour with the USAF Thunderbirds, He retired in 2012 as a Lieutenant General. He spent the next 7 years with Northrop Grumman in Hawaii before retiring and moving to Reynolds. He and his wife Machelle are blessed with 4 girls and 7 grandchildren.
Jon Holtzman grew up in Indiana and graduated from Indiana University with BA and MA degrees in journalism. He served three years as an H-13 pilot with the 24th Infantry Division in Augsburg Germany. He has worked as editor of a weekly newspaper in Oregon, in public relations with ALCOA for 15 years, and as VP of communications for the Chemical Manufacturers Association in Washington. He retired to Big Sky, Montana in 1998, chaired the local school board, a growth and development committee for the resort area, a celebrity golf tournament for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and founded the Gallatin Valley Task Force, a river watch environmental group. He and his wife Sharon moved to Reynolds in 2014. Their daughter and grandsons live in Atlanta.
Mike Nelson is a native of Wichita, Kansas. He served 24 years in the United States Marine Corps. Nine years as an Enlisted Artilleryman and 15 years as a Finance Officer. Following retirement, Mike went to work for the U.S. Navy. Mike and his wife Amy moved to Reynolds in 2019. They have one son; Justin.
