As a therapist, I have experience in helping many people feel happier and more capable to handle the difficult things in life. During my therapy sessions, I always work with my clients to help them live a happier life with more peace of mind, healthier relationships, and new ways to deal with their current issues. I have a heart for people struggling with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, trauma, attachment, relationship issues and life transition. I believe there's a huge potential for growth and freedom from negative thoughts. Change begins no matter how small the goal accomplished, it can be a step towards a better and more satisfying life. The focus of my therapy approach is on collaboration, acceptance, and providing motivation for behavioral change and emotional healing. In sessions, I strive to develop a trusting relationship that fosters safety and a comfortable environment so that my clients can begin the journey of reaching their goals. The journey towards wellness and self-discovery is the most important journey that any one person can make. It requires dedication, patience, humbleness, and honesty by the client and the therapist as they work as a united team towards change. As you make your first steps on this journey my goal is to make you feel comfortable, heard, and respected, because I am honored to be on this journey with you. During our time together I will employ flexible eclectic methodologies that keep your wants and needs in focus. Whether you are an adult, teenager, child, or coming in for couples counseling I will meet you where you are emotionally; as well as, highlight your strengths to aid in the change you want to see. I am multiculturally diversified in my experiences and am knowledgeable about most cultures and religions. I pride myself in understanding the nuisances of eastern and western cultures and the position of genders within them. I am also aware of the emotional inner cultural struggles of different groups within the United States; as well as, the complications of family dynamics when living with mental illness, physical abuse, and addictions. It should also be noted that I understand how easy it is to lose touch with yourself and how difficult it can be to make the necessary steps to get back on track! Throughout my 10 years of motivational coaching, teaching, and volunteering within various communities I found that trauma, barriers to happiness, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and life-destroying behaviors must fade away when a person becomes enlightened to the truth and reclaims an active voice within their life. Are you ready to find the stronger version of yourself? I am here to help you make that happen!

Sparkle Crenshaw

I am passionate about working with diverse groups of people. My studies at both Alliant and California Southern University helped familiarize me with the difficulties faced by individuals who suffer from trauma, whether from death, sexual or physical abuse, health complications, life stressors, or other complex matters. Along with education, I have nearly 20 years of combined experience working with individuals diagnosed with comorbid psychotic, mood, developmental, and or intellectual disorders. With the understanding that life does not come with a "how to" guide, my goal as a therapist is to help you navigate the challenges of life. Often, life presents us with difficulties that may seem insurmountable, while you may not fully understand which direction may be the best route, sometimes talking things through can make all the difference. I am a firm believer that we may not always have control over a situation, but we can always control our response to a situation. In order to do that, sometimes it requires a shift in thinking, behaving, or a combination of the two. Independently you may not know where to start, but together, we can work towards your goal of obtaining balance, understanding purpose or attaining achievement.
