Founder Steve Shawgo has been in the POS industry since 1980. Turning his background as a restaurant General Manager to use in programming and training for a large dealership in the South Bay, he was soon managing a team responsible for all MICROS installations from San Francisco to Monterey. After returning to the North Bay in 1986, he started Santa Rosa Cash Register in 1987 by face-to-face cold calling on businesses in the area.
