Miss Pepera began her medical career in London, qualifying from the Royal Free Hospital Medical School in Hampstead. She undertook basic and higher training at Teaching hospitals, mainly in London, including St Mary's Hospital (Paddington), Royal Free Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Kingston Hospital and St George's Hospital. Miss Pepera was granted her Certificate in Specialist Training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2005, then continued as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Early Pregnancy, Emergency Gynaecology, Fertility and Colposcopy and Cervical Screening. She also holds a Diploma from the Royal College Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health. In 2009, Miss Pepera was appointed a Consultant Gynaecologist and Colposcopist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust... In 2011 she was elected as Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists... At the end of 2013, Miss Pepera stepped down from full-time NHS employment and accepted an Honorary Consultant Position..
