Before opening Wims Hand Car Wash & Detail in May of 2013, my Husband, Mark, and I were foster parents of mostly teenage boys for 6 years. When Mark, a resident of Elkhart since 1979, found out that his company of 26 years was relocating to Mexico at the end of 2013, we decided to start our own business. We chose a hand car wash business, because we've seen the damage that can be done to cars, trucks, etc., by automated car washes. Then, in June of 2018, we transitioned from a hand car wash to an auto detail shop, focusing mostly on Details, Interior Details and Wash & Wax's. As with the hand car wash, we continue to provide a more gentle and "hands on" approach. We also want to provide a service that is more personal to the community.
