Bennett Wisniewski

Bennett graduated cum laude from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii, where he concentrated in Pacific-Asian Legal Studies. He is an active member of the Hawaii State Bar Association. Bennett has also passed the New York State Bar Exam and has been admitted to practice law in New York. At Zhang & Associates, P.C., Bennett focuses his practice on National Interest Waiver, EB-1(a), EB-1(b), I-485 Adjustment of Status, and Consular Processing cases and has gained valuable experience in these areas. He has also worked closely with Zhang & Associates, P.C. on various projects to lobby Congress for comprehensive immigration reform. Before working at Zhang & Associates, P.C., Bennett completed a summer internship in Honolulu with the Law Offices of Jack Schweigert, PLC, assisting Mr. Schweigert with legal research on a wide array of constitutional, evidentiary, and contractual issues. He also worked as a research assistant working on international ocean law issues relating to the Takeshima/Dokdo Island dispute between Japan and South Korea. In addition, he helped Professor Van Dyke on issues ranging from successor corporate liability law to the constitutionality of a vehicular advertising ban. Before working for Professor Van Dyke, he developed his legal research and writing skills as an intern at the American Civil Liberties Union of Hawaii in the summer of 2004. While at the William S. Richardson School of Law, Bennett earned top grades in a wide variety of classes, including Refugee and Asylum Law, Constitutional Law I and II, International Law, International Intellectual Property, International Ocean Law, U.S.-Japan Business Transactions, Law and Society in Japan, and Asian Comparative Legal Studies. He received the Best Appellate Brief Award in his appellate advocacy class during his first year of law school. During his second year of law school, Bennett received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in both Law and Society in Japan and Intellectual Property, which is awarded to the highest grade in each class. Prior to enrolling in law school, Bennett pursued a double major in Japanese Language and Asian Studies at the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a 3.9 cumulative grade point average. As a result of his language studies, Bennett received the National Security Education Program Scholarship, which allowed him to attend Obirin University in Tokyo during his junior year of college. He has also lived in Aomori, Japan and Shizuoka, Japan and he is proficient in Japanese. When he is not at the offices, Bennett enjoys political activism and documentaries. Chingfei Kong

Chingfei Kong is an attorney licensed in New York. He graduated from McGill University with a B.S. in Biochemistry and earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. As a law student at Fordham, Mr. Kong served on the Moot Court Board as well as the Environmental Law Review. Jian "Joe" Zhou

Jung Wook Choi

Attorney Jung Wook Choi graduated from Handong Global University in 2006 with a degree in Politics of Mass Communication. After graduation, he attended the Handong International Law School where he received his J.D. in 2009. He has been licensed to practice in the state of Tennessee since 2010. Prior to working with Zhang & Associates, P.C., Attorney Choi worked as legal practitioner at a boutique immigration law firm in Korea, focusing his practice on U.S. immigration law, namely National Interest Waiver and various nonimmigrant visas such as B-1/B-2, E-1/E-2, H-1B and J-1 -- both of them include provision of services relating to Consular Processing procedures at U.S. consulate post in Korea. From 2011 to 2013, Attorney Choi worked at the oldest intellectual property law firm in Korea where he took charge of international intellectual property rights prosecution and maintenance (both outbound and incoming) as a head of international intellectual property department. During his service at this IP law firm he assisted/represented various clients in course of prosecuting and maintaining their IP rights, both domestically and internationally. Lynn Greening

Lynn Greening received her B.S. from Pacific University in May 2000, double majoring in Biology and Business Administration with a concentration in Management. She then spent two years teaching English in Japan and traveling throughout Southeast Asia before returning to the U.S. After a few years working for a commercial real estate company, Ms. Greening attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law, receiving her J.D.. During law school she completed concentrations in International Law and Law, Technology and the Arts, earning the ABA/BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Intellectual Property. During her first summer in law school, Ms. Greening interned in the legal department of SK Networks in Seoul, South Korea. She researched and presented on issues of legal trade and securities exchanges with China. She also garnered extensive insight on intellectual property issues associated with investment in China. During the summer of 2008, she interned at Ormiston & McKinney, a small boutique patent firm specializing in technology patents. Lynn's practice is focused on National Interest Waiver, EB-1(a), EB-1(b), I-485 Adjustment of Status, and Consular Processing cases. Madelyn C. Light

Madelyn C. Light is a Missouri and Texas licensed attorney. She graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis, where she double-majored in English and African and African-American Studies. Moreover, she graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. Prior to law school, Madelyn worked for a sole practitioner in St. Louis who handled a variety of matters ranging from real estate, to contract law to franchise law. Attorney Light works on NIW, EB-1A, EB-1B, and I-485 cases at Z&A.

Owen Gu

Owen Gu is a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey. He was born in Beijing, China and received his Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honors) from Queen's University in Canada. Subsequently, he was awarded the St. Thomas More Full Tuition Scholarship to attend St. John's University School of Law in New York City where he earned his Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.). He joined Zhang & Associates, P.C. as a business development attorney with a focus on developing Chinese markets and advising Chinese corporations and individuals on U.S. immigration and corporate law.

Sheel Bedi

Sheel Bedi is a licensed attorney in Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in English and Asian Studies, and then earned his Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.). from New York University School of Law.

Xia Chen

Xia Chen received her Bachelor of Law from Southwest University of Political Science and Law. She started her legal career in Beijing, China in 2004 after she completed her graduate study in civil and commercial law from the Law School of Renmin University of China. She worked as an attorney in Beijing. In the first few years, her practice was focused on commercial litigation. She has successfully represented corporate clients for their commercial disputes in different levels of Chinese courts, including in the Supreme Court of China. Then, she developed her career in corporate law and securities transactions and successfully served business clients in IPO projects, private placement and M & A transactions. She also served as legal counsel to several State-owned financial enterprises.

Yazhou Wang

Yazhou Wang is a licensed attorney in New York state. He is from Shanghai, China and joined the firm in July 2012. He earned his LLB from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Law. After that, he went to University of Southern California Gould School of Law and studied in the LLM program for one year. Yazhou continued his law studying in the University Of Tulsa College Of Law to pursue his JD in 2009 and graduated with honor in May 2012.
