Chase View Farm is made up of around 13 acres of pasture and 3 acres of deciduous woodland. The pasture is improved grassland on south facing slopes around the hamlet of Walford. This aspect means we can keep our sheep here all year on good pasture, with a minimum of supplementary feed. The woodland was planted in the middle of the last century on the site of a former marl pit. The steep sides, where the marl was removed, provide natural barriers for our pigs... We support the work being done by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust which promotes the conservation of the United Kingdom's native farm animals.
