APPALACHIAN FLOORING & TILE - Key Persons

Brandi Phipps grew up in Denver, NC and graduated with a Degree in Early Childhood Education from Gaston College but pursued a career in Retail Management after teaching Pre-K for a few years. Brandi worked 15 years in the Big Box Retail Industry in Huntersville, NC managing various retail divisions such as freight, point of sale, individual Departments and Merchandising/Display Coordinator. In 2013, Brandi and her husband Chris, were approached by an Individual looking to sell their Retail Carpet Store, after much consideration, they purchased the former Ashe Carpet & Tile and renamed to Appalachian Flooring & Tile. Brandi's former experience in retail management and merchandising, paved the way for much knowledge needed in the flooring industry. Brandi attends shows, markets, and many conferences to stay in the know on the latest flooring trends, designs, & colors. Brandi loves working with clients and contractors on projects from the initial design stage to completion.

Madison Wells graduated with a bachelor's degree in Interior Design at Western Kentucky University in 2020. During her time in college, she was social chair of WKU IIDA(Interior Design Association) where she got to meet and learn from professionals. She interned for Jessica Stambaugh Interiors the summer before senior year which was her first real work experience in interior design. During her internship, she got to help select materials and finishes, meet with vendors, run errands, and did a bit of space planning. Post graduation, she worked as an assistant designer at a kitchen and bath showroom shortly before moving to Wilkesboro, NC where she started working in sales, here at Appalachian Flooring & Tile! She loves getting to work closely with customers to help them select the perfect materials for them!
