The Computational Methods and Sensing Lab was established in Spring 2014 by Dr. Fridline and Dr. Shlayan to support research in the emerging topic of Cyber Physical Systems with applications in Structural Health Monitoring and Intelligent Transportation Systems. With the support of ABS and UTRC, up to 13 undergraduate students performed research working on in-house sensor development and computational methods using state of the art techniques and software tools. The mission of this lab is to enhance the undergraduate student experience and increase their involvement to prepare them for industry and graduate level work.
