Fred C. Heros

Dr. Heros is originally from Havana, Cuba and moved here with his family as a young child. He has been in Memphis ever since. Dr. Heros graduated from Catholic High School and the University of Memphis, formerly Memphis State University, with a degree in Microbiology. He graduated from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 1975 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery and has been in private practice ever since. He and his wife Gayle have three daughters, Christie McGee (husband, Kelly), Anita Heros, and Lisa Ellis (husband, Scott). They have three grandchildren, Steven, Madelyne, and Isabel. Dr. Heros is a member and former president of the Memphis Dental Society and the Tennessee Dental Association. He volunteers for the Church Health Center, and the Bellevue mobile unit. He has been the recipient of many awards including Outstanding Alumni at UT (2012), the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Award (2013), and has been inducted into the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He attends the annual TDA convention and the annual Mid South Dental Congress and has over 1000 continuing education credits in all aspects of dentistry. In his spare time, he enjoys playing racquetball, spending time with his family at the lake and the beach, and playing with his new puppy Lolita.
