Designer's Point was founded in 2012 by a group of former employees from The Great Indoors, a well-known home improvement store. The same day when The Great Indoors announced they were going out of business, Dick Minar and Karen Schone decided they were going to start their own business. Pretty soon, they recruited more people and the team started working from Dick's basement with a vision to create a company that would offer comprehensive, custom home remodeling services.
