Having grown up on the East End, Andy returned to Long Island in 1995 and settled here in Hampton Bays with his family. Andy has worked as a computer consultant for over 25 years and has a B.S. in Mathematics from Purchase College and a M.S in Education from Long Island University. Andy joined the Tech Department Staff in the fall of 2011 and is responsible for running the school district Help Desk where all support problems are directed for resolution. Andy manages the Help Desk and assists in the support of all of the district's technology and A/V equipment as well as its staff, faculty and student computer users.
Currently, Andy is the chair of the HB Civic Association Education Committee as well as a member of the board of directors.. Andy has also sponsored and coached local youth sports teams.
After spending more than 20 years in private sector businesses, Rich joined the district in December, 1998. Prior to coming to Hampton Bays, he owned a computer training company in Sayville. In his role as Network and Systems Administrator, Rich is responsible for managing the network infrastructure, more than 20 servers, 225 network telephones, 400 email accounts and 2400 user accounts. In his role as Chief Information Officer, Rich reports to the state education department all student information including demographics, enrollment records, state assessments, course grades and program service. He also does all purchasing of all hardware, software and supplies for the technology department.
