BRADY ACCORDIONIST
Updated 41 days ago
I started playing the accordion at eight when my great aunt gave me an accordion. She was married to a polish man and that entire side of the family were accordionists. I played until I was thirteen and then started participating sports, at which time I chose football over the accordion. Because I played sports through college, I did not touch the accordion again until after being in the service, finishing my education, and starting a family. In 2000, I decided that I was not "too cool" for music (as I thought at a younger age) and took up the instrument again with new-found enthusiasm. I sought lessons from professionals: Tony Lovello, Greg Klugeweiz, Nick Ballerini, and Dick Albreski. Since then, I have diligently pursued my love of music and the opportunities that this interest has provided.
