The house was a Carpenter's workshop with living quarters on the first floor (living room, 2 bedrooms, and a kitchenette) with a store room on the top floor (grenier) and a courtyard to the rear. It was renovated over a period of 15 years with the skills of local craftsmen and by the previous owner.
