G B PODAR Podar College has inherited its unique legacy from great visionaries and philanthropists such as Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya, Shri Jamnalal Bajaj, and Shri Anandilal Podar who played an instrumental role in the setting up the Anandilal Podar Trust. The Anandilal Podar Trust was established as Anandilal Podar Charitable Society in the year 1921 with Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi as one of the Founder Chairman-Trustee. The College came into existence as a Bhramchary ashram in the year 1921 which was converted into a High School in 1930. The school was promoted as the first intermediate Institution in the Shekhawati region in 1942. The present status of G B Podar College came into existence with the starting of UG and PG courses in Commerce in 1946 and 1947, respectively and the College got the honor of being the first coeducational college in Rajasthan.
