Christopher W. Bennett joined the firm in 2010 and manages the firm's Austin office. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri and South Texas College of Law. He has broad experience representing individuals in state and federal courts in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights.
Mr. Bennett is a member of the Austin Bar Association, Austin Young Lawyer's Association, and the Capital Area Trial Lawyer's Association.
In his spare time, Mr. Bennett enjoys rooting on the Missouri Tigers and traveling.
Chris joined the firm in 2010 and manages the Austin office. Chris is an effective and zealous advocate who truly cares about each and every client.
Garrett L. Beach graduated magna cum laude from Abilene Christian University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. In 2016, Garrett graduated from Baylor Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor with a concentration in estate planning.
Garrett is an accomplished attorney whose commitment to his clients is unwavering. He takes pride in investing the time and effort required to understand each of his client's unique needs and goals. With a compassionate and personalized approach, Garrett ensures that his clients receive tailored advice and guidance every step of the way.
After practicing in the Waco area for a number of years, Garrett joined The Zimmerman Law Firm in 2023. He provides clients a wide range of estate planning and long-term care planning services, including Wills, trusts, powers of attorney, directives to physicians, and lady bird deeds. Garrett's other primary areas of practice include probate, business formation, nonprofit formation, and guardianships.
After practicing in the Waco area for a number of years, Garrett joined The Zimmerman Law Firm in 2023. He provides clients a wide range of services including estate planning, long-term care planning, probate, business formation, and guardianships.
Gavin joined the firm as a clerk in 2014 and became an attorney in 2016. He has always called the Central Texas area home. Gavin is dedicated to reaching fair and effective resolutions for his clients every day.
J.D. has had a diverse career. Before becoming an attorney he worked as an investment analyst in New York City. J.D. has successfully handled hundreds of claims since he joined the firm in 2009.
Jason R. Carr joined the Zimmerman Law Firm in 2020 as a clerk and started as an associate attorney in 2021. He has worked on a wide array of personal injury cases, including automobile collisions, premises liability, on-the-job injuries, medical malpractice, and wrongful deaths.
Jason earned his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of Barristers and worked with both the Tarrant County Judicial Staff Counsel and the McLennan County District Attorney's Office. Prior to law school, he earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Brigham Young University.
Jason was born in Houston, Texas and lived in California, Brazil, and Utah before moving back to Texas to attend law school in Waco. While in Waco, he and his wife Meaghan fell in love with Central Texas and are glad to call it home. Outside the office, they can be found working out, teaching youth Sunday School, or photographing a horse show.
Jason joined the firm in 2020 and became an attorney in 2021. He has worked on a wide array of personal injury cases since he started as an associate attorney.
Michael is the managing partner at The Zimmerman Law Firm. Michael joined with his father to help the firm grow in 1992. Since that day he has been committed to providing the highest quality of representation to all of his clients.
Robert W. Cotner is a native of Perry, Oklahoma. He is a 1990 graduate of the University of Oklahoma (B.A., Political Science) and a 1993 graduate of Baylor University School of Law. Mr. Cotner is a member of the McLennan County and American Bar Associations and the State Bar of Texas. He joined the firm in 1996 and was named a partner in 1999.
Mr. Cotner is active in his church, St. Matthew Lutheran and is also involved in the University of Oklahoma's Central Texas Alumni Club. He enjoys sports, and particularly enjoys softball and basketball.
Mr. Cotner also loves spending time with his wife, Hope, and daughter, Rachel.
Robert joined the Firm in 1996. Robert is an aggressive advocate whose intense knowledge of the law helps him fight for his clients every day.
