CHERISHED COTTAGES - Key Persons
Born in London and having lived and worked there for over 30 years, Christine and her husband George decided it was time for a change and moved South in 1995. Joining them in this big exciting move were her (then 7 years old) daughter Laura and their two dogs. Christine's mum is St Ives born and bred so it wasn't exactly a move into the unknown, as her family had already moved back to St Ives from London a few years before (so they kind of followed them)! She has now been down here for over 20 years, and could never go back - having definitely made the right move! Now she spends her weekends with her family walking, eating out and "trying" to train their rescued lurcher, Poppy.
Since moving down here she has had several exciting jobs: including lecturing IT at a local College and having fun running pubs with her husband George.
In 2016 she spotted the admin role at Cherished Cottages being advertised, and joined our happy team. Christine's role is mainly office based: dealing with the paperwork, supporting our book-keeper Rachel, helping our guests, taking bookings, talking to our lovely owners, making tea and more to help us keep our office ticking over.
Cornish born Rachel joined the team in 2017. She joined initially as our book-keeper, but has since taken on an additional permanent role based in our office, assisting with owner enquiries and the general day to day administration.
Tim left a very busy career in Coffee shops behind in 2002, to move to St Ives, a place he absolutely adores and now calls home. Originally from Oxford, Tim fell in love with Cornwall & St Ives in particular, back in the 1990's, where any spare moment was spent escaping city life, jumping in the car with Roz & their beloved Labradors to head South West for a fix of fresh sea air and beautiful beaches.
After relocating and running a successful B&B and their own holiday cottages for several years in St Ives, in 2011, Tim & Roz decided it was time to offer the holiday lettings market something different and started their own bespoke high end lettings agency, and priding themselves on personal service, attention to detail and luxurious properties, Cherished was born!
Tim's enthusiasm for the business has flourished & with the backup of his loyal Cherished ladies, has seen the business grow over the years, while still remaining small and personable.
