I'm a bit of a techie. Early on, I produced the annual catalogues and weekly brochures for the largest electronics distributor in the world. It was hard to leave - the staff-discount was very attractive. But I moved into programming. I wrote software for the legal profession, and later for the UK's electricity network operators, that I am sure you would find fascinating if those are industry sectors you work in... Whatever I've done, my job has been to persuade people to believe in my ideas. My skill was making the technical, understandable. Thing is, I found selling ideas and getting everyone on-board as engaging as projects themselves. So, now I'm a copywriter. I write for anyone with an idea they believe in. You're the expert. I just make sure everyone knows... I write to increase your sales, broaden your appeal and open new markets.
