Hypnosis has been a life long passion for Jess. Ever since childhood she has had a deep curiosity about how the mind works.
In 2010 she opened Philadelphia Hypnosis where she saw clients until late 2014 when she made the decision to move her practice to New York City.
In 2012 She partnered with Sarah and Shawn Carson to form what is today The Intelligent Hypnotist.
Along with teaching our NLP/ HNLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner trainings Jess teaches Hypnotic Coaching, Deep Trance Identification facilitation, and Prana Coaching. Like Shawn she is enjoys bringing innovative and transformational trainings to the community.
Prior to becoming a professional hypnotist and coach Jess was an adjunct professor working in departments of religion and anthropology. Her focus was in medical anthropology

Jess enjoys helping people overcome their limitations and begin living their dreams. Many clients seek Jess out for her multi session Deep Trance Identification programs or spiritual coaching. Being legally blind Jess also specializes in working with the unique needs of others members of the disabled community.

For years she has been passionate about understanding how the mind works and her journey has taken her primarily into the world of NLP and Hypnosis. These two areas of study continue to fascinate her and she is always eager to learn more and to share what she learns.
During her personal journey she discovered just how powerful the mind is and more she learned the more I wanted to know. Along the way Sarah also experienced personal transformations. These experiences convinced her that NLP and Hypnosis truly work for positive change.
Sarah became an NLP Trainer and Conversational Hypnosis trainer with the express goal of sharing her understandings and learnings with as many people as possible, to help them change their own lives and transform the lives of others.

Shawn Carson began teaching NLP and Hypnosis in 2006 after completing a highly successful career in business consulting, including serving on the Board of Directors of a major international consulting organization. His experience in Business Consulting and consultative sales perfectly suits him to understand the needs of clients and students from the business world.
Shawn was born in Lancashire, England, he moved to New York City in. Since then, as an ‘Englishman in New York', Shawn has lived, loved, worked and taught in Manhattan.
Since childhood, he has been fascinated with the Mind. Shawn began to study the application of NLP to sales and management in 1994. Since that time, his interest has grown and he has become a Master Practitioner and Trainer in NLP and Hypnosis Trainer, as well as seeing private clients. In addition he is a Clean Language Facilitator, Reiki Master and practitioner of EFT.
