A child who is permitted to engage in activities of his own choice develops such attributes as self-direction, trust in himself, self assurance, and a feeling of self-worth. Play influences the intellect, the emotions, and the body of the child; it is the most complete educational process. It is the only activity in which experience induces learning and learning provides wisdom and character... At Barton House Playschool we believe in a child's right to play.
