BLUE STAR STUDIO OF WOOD & GLASS - Key Persons
Barb Hogarth was born in SW Michigan, but spent time in Indiana and Ohio before landing in Royal Oak, MI, after college. Royal Oak is where she started her woodworking and stained glass training in adult ed classes. Following that introduction, she moved onto stained glass classes with Vicki Payne, and woodworking classes out of state. Her glassblowing experience started with extension classes at the Center for Creative Studies, in Detroit, and continued at several studios on, both, the east and west sides of the state.
Barb moved to the SW Michigan lakeshore in the fall of 2002, and opened the Blue Star Studio of Wood and Glass in the fall of 2003. The studio has hours during the summer and early fall, as well as appointment time, year round.
