The ArangoDB Oasis platform makes it easy for customers to run an instance of the ArangoDB Graph database in the cloud. All the customer has to do, is pick a cloud provider and a region and the Oasis platform will take care of the rest. The Oasis team is there 24/7 to make sure your database is being looked after and taken care of when needed... I started the project, designed the platform's architecture, built a substantial part of the software as well as the team and the processes from the ground up. The platform is entirely based on Kubernetes. We use Kubernetes as an abstraction layer to ensure that customers get the same experience, no matter which cloud provider they choose. Technically that means that we build in and with Kubernetes, not just deploy applications on top of it... At first my role was mostly technical, building the architecture and the code for the platform, together with a small team. Later my role extended to one in which I'm responsible for leading the team..
