GLOBAL MOUNTAIN ACTION

Global Mountain Action (GMA) is a not for profit organization set up in 2009 as an association in Switzerland with presence in Switzerland, Peru and in Ethiopia... We work for to provide knowledge for alternatives to evermore destructive, extractive economic use of poorly studied mountain resources that we believe result in ever more compromised fragile mountain ecosystems and reduced, rather than enhanced, well-being and opportunities to the majority of mountain people... We integrate our actions with mountain communities while maintaining strong links with universities, and other national and international institutions, advocacy groups, commerce and governments.
