Hannah is an associate at Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers. She was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in August 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) from the University of New South Wales. Hannah joined Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers as a paralegal in June 2016 while she completed her practical legal training. Hannah has since re-joined Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers as a practicing family lawyer. Julie is the Managing Director at Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers. She joined Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers in 2014 and has extensive knowledge and experience in the family law jurisdiction. Julie has been practising law for over 30 years and has practised exclusively in family law for 20 years. She is an accredited mediator and has acted as an Independent Children's Lawyer for over 15 years. Prior to joining Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers, Julie worked as a senior solicitor at Legal Aid NSW where she was responsible for supervising junior lawyers and providing practical and specified legal advice to clients in complex situations. Before joining Legal Aid NSW Julie worked in private practice in Newcastle. Julie has been an accredited specialist in family law since 2005. As an accredited specialist Julie undertakes significant additional professional development each year within the area of family law. Accredited specialists are practitioners recognised for their expertise in areas of legal knowledge and its practical application. Julie's extensive family law experience includes a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all facets of family law practice including, but not limited to, property and parenting matters, relocation, child support, spouse maintenance and de facto property settlement. Julie's expertise extends to complex parenting and property matters and she has a reputation for providing practical, pragmatic and specialised advice due to her comprehensive knowledge and strong networks within the profession. Kate is a Senior Associate at Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers. She has worked exclusively in family law for over 15 years and appears as an Independent Children's Lawyer in family law proceedings. Kate joined Hamish Cumming Family Lawyers in 2009. Prior to this, Kate was the Young Lawyer's Representative of the Northern Territory Law Society and a councillor of the Northern Territory Law Council. She was on the board and volunteered for the Top End Women's Legal Service in the Northern Territory. She has also volunteered for the Inner City Legal Centre in Sydney. Kate graduated with Honours with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in 2005 and was admitted to practice as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2006. Prior to her admission, and during her studies, Kate worked as a paralegal within the family law jurisdiction. Kate is a member of the family law section of the Law Society of New South Wales, the family law section of the Law Council of Australia and is on the panel of Independent Children's Lawyers.
