Helga White received her Juris Doctor With Distinction from McGeorge School of Law in 1983. She is a member of the Order of the Coif, and has been an active member of the California Bar Association since 1983. White is licensed to practice in all courts of the State of California, and in the Federal courts of the Eastern, Northern, and Central Districts of California. Since 1992, she has been licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States of America, and was admitted to practice before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in 1998.
