Dr. Diercks was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Creighton University, attending Creighton University Medical School and completing a residency in psychiatry at Creighton Affiliated Hospitals. He also did post graduate training at the University of Texas with a special emphasis in the treatment of Bipolar Disorders. He has been a consultant to Boys Town, President of the Nebraska Psychiatric Society ,and President of the Medical Staff at Creighton Memorial St Joseph Center for Mental Health. He has conducted research in the early diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder, and has been an Associate Clinical Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine for over thirty years. He also has a faculty appointment with the Physician's Assistant Program at the University of South Dakota. He is currently on the active medical staff of Immanuel Medical Center and Creighton University Medical Center at Bergan Mercy.
