Beata Geyer

Beata Geyer, Ph.D., ABPP-CN: Dr. Geyer is Board Certified in the practice of Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology, one of the few with this standing in New Jersey. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey (35SIO 0407100) and New York (015112-1). She specializes most heavily in the evidence-based assessment of child developmental issues such as ADHD, Learning Disorders, Autism Spectrum, and mood, as well as changes due to head trauma, epilepsy, stroke, and other neurological events. She also performs career assessments for young adults and pre-employment/pre-service screenings for military, police, and other organizations. She directs the neuropsychological and psychological testing service at Rutgers University Behavioral Health, where she supervises doctoral students and teaches seminars on psychological and neuropsychological assessment. She serves as an expert in neuropsychology in forensic (court) settings. Over the past decade, Dr. Geyer has continued to actively remain up-to-date with research in assessment, while developing an increasingly person-centered, therapeutically-informed and culturally-sensitive assessment approach. She lives in the northern New Jersey area with her family.

Christine Robinson

Christine Robinson: Christine will likely be your first point of contact at Mindful Assessments. As Office Manager, she will assist you with any questions you have and help you understand the neuropsychological evaluation process. When she's not managing the office, she can be found teaching dance, which has been a passion of hers for over 30 years. She's also a proud mother of two college age boys and lives in the northern New Jersey area with her family.

Dr. Molly Hilliard

Dr. Hilliard is a licensed clinical psychologist in New Jersey and New York and a Postdoctoral Fellow at Mindful Assessments and Psychological Services, where she is currently specializing in neuropsychological assessment. Dr. Hilliard has experience evaluating and treating children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of contexts including inpatient, outpatient, residential treatment, day treatment, and private practice settings. Dr. Hilliard graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers College with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Elementary Education. She worked as an actuary for Insurance Services Office and AIG prior to returning to school to study Clinical Psychology. She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology in 2003 and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2004 from St. John's University. Dr. Hilliard completed two externships at Bronx Children's Psychiatric Center, where she worked with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and treat children and adolescents in their Child Inpatient Unit and Community Day Treatment Annex. She also completed her internship at The Children's Village Residential Treatment Center, where she evaluated and treated boys with mental health challenges that were often layered with trauma. She then completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Payne Whitney Westchester, where she worked with children, adolescents and families with a variety of disorders, including anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, and autism, as well as adjustment issues related to adoption and divorce. After taking a break from clinical work to raise her children, Dr. Hilliard is now pursuing specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology. Since joining Mindful Assessments and Psychological Services, Dr. Hilliard has focused on assessment with individuals across the life span. In addition to working with children and adolescents, she has gained experience assessing older adults to answer questions about cognitive changes they may be experiencing, and whether these changes may be related to an underlying neurological issue such as dementia. Dr. Hilliard believes strongly in the value of assessment as a means for empowering individuals and families to harness their strengths, to approach their vulnerabilities with understanding and acceptance, and to create needed change. Maha Younes

Maha Younes, Ph.D.: Dr. Younes is a licensed clinical psychologist in New Jersey and New York. Dr. Younes has worked with adults, children, and adolescents in many settings throughout her career, including in inpatient and outpatient settings in hospitals and clinics. Currently, she specializes in seeing pre-teens and adolescents with issues related to learning either due to developmental issues or concussions. In addition, she sees patients with a variety of neurological illnesses and injuries to assess their level of cognitive functioning and provide them with recommendations to help them to achieve their full potential. Finally, she specializes in assessing older individuals to clarify if their experienced changes of cognition over time are due to the effects of "normal" aging or whether they may be signs of a neurological issue, such as dementia. She is the primary neuropsychologist in charge of the REEACH (Respectful Evaluations and Education for Adult Cognitive Health) program at Mindful Assessments and Psychological Services, where she provides older adults with cognitive strengthening strategies as well as community resources to help them maintain independence for as long as possible. Over the past two decades, Dr. Younes has continued to actively remain up-to-date with research in assessment, while developing an increasingly person-centered and therapeutically-informed assessment approach. She lives in the northern New Jersey area with her family.

Sara Smid

Sara Smid: Sara joined the staff at Mindful Assessments & Psychological Services as Office Manager in September 2019. When calling Mindful Assessments, Sara is usually your first point of contact. Beyond overall management, she is responsible for introducing potential patients to the practice and explaining how the neuropsychological evaluation process works..

Taylor Pettiford

Taylor Pettiford: Taylor graduated from Montclair State University in 2022 with a B.A. in Justice Studies and minor in Justice Systems. She is currently in the process of obtaining her M.A. in Justice Administration & Public Services from Saint Elizabeth University. She is certified in Cyber Security Investigations and authorized to answer 911 calls according to state laws and agency policies and procedures. She loves to travel, journal, workout, read, and spend time with friends and family. She hopes to obtain her Doctorate degree and become a Forensic Psychologist in the future. Taylor is very excited to continue her journey with Mindful Assessments by bringing forth care and compassion in the field of research.
