Declan O'Connor

Job Titles:

Declan has worked in private practice since graduating from the University of Newcastle, working in multiple clinics on the North Shore and in the Eastern Suburbs. He jointly runs and manages podiatry practicesin the North Shore area and the city where his focus is on promoting foot health and improving body posture as well as providing domiciliary podiatry care to patients across Sydney in their homes, and in retirement villages & aged care facilities. Declan enjoys diabetic foot care, neurological & vascular testing, and using orthoses to treat musculoskeletal aches & pains and to improve posture, and nail surgery, but is available for any foot or lower limb issue big or small. Declan is available every Tuesday from 8am and alternate Saturday.

Dr Roger Chang

Job Titles:

Dr Roger Chang is a specialist GP with a wide range of experience including in paediatrics; emergency; chronic disease; mental health; medical dermatology and mens' health. In addition to specialist training in general practice, Dr Roger has completed additional qualifications in emergency medicine, palliative care, and pediatrics. Alongside general practice, Dr Roger continues to work casual shifts in the emergency department at Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick. Dr Roger enjoys teaching the next generation of doctors. He is an interviewer and examiner at University of Notre Dame and University of New South Wales School of Population Health. Outside of medicine, you might find Dr Roger chasing after his small rescue dog Lola at Centennial Park, or falling over at bouldering gyms.

Dr. Akshay Flora

Akshay graduated from The University of Notre Dame in 2018, and completed his internship and residency at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Following this, he completed a Masters of Paediatrics, and a Masters of Research in Dermatology in 2023. He has a special interest in skin, and is able to perform skin cancer checks, identify and manage common rashes, perform minor surgical procedures (such as skin cancer removals), and insert and remove implanons. Akshay is also involved in medical education, where he currently lectures dermatology at The University of Notre Dame. In his spare time, Akshay enjoys ice skating at his local ice-skating rink, and working out at the gym.

Dr. Amelia Bott

Amelia graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle. She has worked in a number of hospitals where she developed her skills and knowledge across a diverse range of medical, surgical and emergency medicine terms before she started general practice training. Amelia enjoys the diversity of general practice but is particularly passionate about preventative health care, women's health and mental health. She has also completed the Sydney Child Health Program in 2020 so she is able to care for a wider range of children's medical presentations.

Dr. Catherine Choi

** Catherine is currently on maternity leave, and we're all looking forward to her return with her little one early this year! ** Catherine completed her medical degree at The University of Sydney, and subsequently gained experience at various tertiary hospitals and general practices across NSW. She has completed additional professional education in the form of a Diploma of Child Health, Certificate in Reproductive & Sexual Health and Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. She is also registered to provide antenatal care with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women. Catherine is also trained to support mental health with Focused Psychological Strategies. Catherine has a love for the breadth of general practice including women's health, sexual health and antenatal care, men's health and promoting healthy lifestyle changes. She also enjoys supervising junior doctors and is an examiner for the RACGP. Outside of work, Catherine loves travelling to experience new cultures, attempting barre/pump classes and eating her herb garden much faster than it grows.

Dr. Dileni Fernando

Dileni graduated from the University of Newcastle and worked in a wide variety of hospitals including John Hunter, Maitland and Hornsby. Due to an interest in providing holistic care, she started work as a General Practitioner in 2008, and gained a wide variety of experience in both regional and urban practices within NSW. She has completed the course in Sexual Health and Reproductive Medicine from Family Planning Australia and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In addition she has worked for several years in a sexual health clinic. She enjoys the diversity of general practice and has special interests in sexual health, men's and women's health, and travel medicine.

Dr. Hunter Tuon

Hunter graduated from the University of Sydney in Medicine in 1999. He worked and trained in Canberra Hospital prior to 2002 in areas of general practice and general surgery as well as pediatrics. He undertook general practice training from 2003 and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2005. His interests include preventive health, Implanon insertion and travel medicine.

Dr. Jenny Thai

Jenny graduated from the University of NSW and worked at a number of hospitals before entering general practice training. She obtained her GP Fellowship in 2011 and has been happily practising in the Inner West since then. She has a Diploma in Child Health as well as the Family Planning National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She teaches medical students and is a supervisor for GP registrars. Jenny thoroughly enjoys the diversity of general practice but has particular interests in child and adolescent health, pregnancy care, contraception (she is a certified inserter of Implanon and IUDs), managing menopause and preventative health. She also performs skin cancer checks and basic skin excisions. Outside of work, when not at the mercy of her two spirited children, she loves nothing more than a coffee with friends or an afternoon of gardening.

Dr. Peter Xie

Peter completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney, where he also went on to complete his Master of Medicine in Psychiatry. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, having completed his training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and regional settings. Currently, Peter works as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Professor Marie Bashir Centre, University of Sydney. Peter has special interest in psychosis and mood disorders, and experience in treating post-traumatic stress and anxiety disorders. Peter also enjoys teaching and is currently a Clinical Lecturer at the Central Clinical School, RPA hospital. Peter is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin and usully works on Saturdays at Montrose. Outside of work, Peter enjoys travelling (which does not cross oceans these days) and a lazy Sunday exploring good food and coffee around Sydney.

Dr. Phoebe Lovett

Phoebe graduated from The University of Notre Dame Fremantle and has since worked in Wagga Wagga, St Vincent's Hospital Sydney and in Radiology at Royal North Shore Hospital. Phoebe also has experience working at various practices across Sydney. Aspects that Phoebe particularly enjoys in General Practice include: preventative medicine, chronic diseases, aged care, palliative care, mental health, dermatology. Outside of medicine, Phoebe particularly enjoys following the F1Grand Prix tour around the world as well as having a keen interest in gourmet food.

Dr. Rams Chandrabalan

Rams completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney and completed his internship and residency at Concord, Canterbury & Broken Hill Hospitals. His clinical interests are chronic disease management, sexual health, men's health, women's health, and paediatrics, having completed a Diploma in Child Health. Rams is an antenatal shared care provider with RPA & Canterbury Hospitals and is certified to insert and remove Implanon contraception. Furthermore, Rams is also an accredited S100 Hepatitis B & HIV (including PrEP & PEP) medication prescriber. Alongside his clinical practice, Rams supervises medical students and trainee doctors, and is an examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Outside of work Rams enjoys being comprehensively beaten at tennis on a regular basis.

Dr. Rebecca Chan

Rebecca completed her medical degree at the University of Notre Dame in Sydney and has since worked in a number of hospitals and general practices throughout Sydney. She has completed the Diploma of Child Health and the Family Planning National Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health, in keeping with her interests in paediatrics and women's health. She is also an NDC-accredited practitioner through the Possums Program, and has completed additional studies in breastfeeding medicine through Australasian Lactation Courses. Rebecca is accredited to provide antenatal shared care at RPA/Canterbury, The Royal Women's, and St George/Sutherland Hospitals as well as trained in the insertion of Implanon and IUDs (Kyleena/Mirena and Copper IUD). Rebecca also works as a Medical Educator with GP Synergy, helping to train the future generation of General Practitioners. Outside of work, she is kept busy chasing after her three young children, and enjoys running and good food.

Jase Dimos

Jase is a mindful psychologist with a passion for helping others. He has worked as a psychologist in Liverpool hospital, as a school psychologist, and most extensively within private practice. More recently, Jase began assisting veterans with PTSD through Open Arms Australia. Jase helps his clients with issues such as depression and anxiety, complex trauma, childhood trauma, lack of meaning or purpose, spiritual crisis, relationship issues, adult attachment issues, body image issues, grief and bereavement, sexuality and gender identity, work stress and workplace injury, and managing anger. Jase uses EMDR, ACT, CBT and parts work in his treatment with clients. Jase is a practicing Buddhist with a deep interest in eastern philosophy and meditation. He is a firm believer that having a relationship with yourself and feeling connected to the world around you is essential to feeling alive and at ease.

Marwah Armanazi

Marwah is passionate about providing the highest quality of healthcare that she would expect for her own care. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing from Flinders University in Adelaide and her training in primary healthcare nursing in Queensland. She has been working in general practice since. She recently made Sydney her new home after moving from Queensland. When not at work, Marwah enjoys working out at the gym and socialising. She enjoys dancing and always taking classes to improve her level!

Max Visca

Max has a passionate interest in both scientific and holistic approaches to the human body, and, drawing on his experience with multiple modalities, he creates a tailored approach to the needs of each patient. Max has completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine at UTS and has trained at various locations, including Sports Lab as a massage therapist and Chris O'Brien Lifehouse for lymphatic drainage. He has also worked in sports therapy with AFL players and the Australian swimming team. When Max is not at work, he trains in Aikido, a form of martial arts, and spends time with his family and young child.

Natalie Wong

Shirley is a compassionate and attuned clinical psychologist with over 10 years' experience working with individuals across the lifespan. She has significant experience working across inpatient, community mental health, acute and hospital settings as well as providing longer-term therapies in private practice. Shirley is passionate about helping individuals with a range of life issues including emotional and relationship problems, complex and single traumatic events, anxiety and depression, adjustment to life changes, addictive behaviours, grief and loss and psychosis. In addition to her private practice, Shirley works in the public sector supporting managerial and clinical staff. Shirley focusses on providing insight into challenges, navigating through painful emotions, and addressing unhelpful behaviours. She draws from a range of therapy modalities from psychodynamic, cognitive, schema and mindfulness-based therapies. Through fostering a strong therapeutic alliance, Shirley empowers individuals to forge meaningful connections with their experiences to motivate growth and change. Natalie is a passionate psychologist committed to facilitating insight, positive change and to improving the quality of her clients' lives. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2007 and has been working in varied settings since 2008. Natalie began private practice in 2010, and more recently worked at St Vincent's Hospital, and Prince of Wales Private Hospital for pain management. She has experience in the assessment and treatment of a broad range of mental health issues and well-being issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, interpersonal and relationship problems (including couples therapy), drug and alcohol issues, grief and adjustment difficulties. She works with older adolescents and adults and is bilingual in Cantonese and English. Natalie utilises a range of techniques suited to individual needs drawn from CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based concepts.

Heather is a graduate of the University of New South Wales. She has completed two post-graduate diplomas - one in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and one in Palliative Medicine - in addition to completing a certificate course in Sexual & Reproductive Health from Family Planning Australia. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Heather has worked in many rural and remote areas of Australia in general practice, Aboriginal health and palliative care. She has worked in the United Kingdom in the areas of psychiatry and emergency medicine. She enjoys all areas of general practice but has special interest in women's health, travel medicine and palliative care. In addition to working at Montrose, Heather teaches in the School of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame.

Rowan Evans

Shane Kertanegara graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 with 1st class honours and the University Medal. He is the current Lead Physiotherapist at the Royal Australian Air Force's Human Performance and Safety unit. A published author and current lecturer at the University of Sydney, Shane's previous roles include Head Physiotherapist of NSW Waratahs (2018-2020), Australian U20s Junior Wallabies (2016-2018) and Sydney University Rugby Club (2012-2015). Shane has an interest in treating lower limb injuries, hip and groin pain, tendinopathies and the shoulder joint. He will aim to establish an accurate diagnosis, clear management plan and use effective treatment options to guide you through your condition. Rowan has held numerous positions since becoming a Physiotherapist including Head Physiotherapist of the Sydney Uni Flames, Waratahs academy Physiotherapist and is currently the Head Physiotherapist of Gordon Rugby Club in the NSW Shute Shield. Within the private practice setting, Rowan is highly experienced in post-surgical rehabilitation as well as long term, complex injuries within general population. Rowan employs several strategies including education, exercise prescription and hands on modalities to help you recover and reach your goals.

In addition to working in private practice, Thea is the Head of Psychology Department at a major rehabilitation hospital. She has specialist training in educational assessments, educational support and remediation, assessment of literacy, motor and perceptual skills. She can assist with school readiness assessments, study skills training and educational enhancement techniques. She also has specialised training in the assessment and treatment of individuals experiencing difficulty with all aspects of thinking such as memory, learning, attention, language, reading and, decision making.
