NWC

The organization was founded by Powell banker R.A. Nelson and incorporated on June 2, 1966. Its first priorities were acquiring land and raising funds for scholarships and capital construction projects. The first gift to the foundation was Nelson's donation of 130 shares of Polaroid stock valued at $15,000.
