Albert joined NEA as Designer-in-Residence in 2015. In this role, he works closely with portfolio companies supporting them with product, design, and organizational development strategies and execution. He's been actively involved in building the NEA Studio program, which has an emphasis on supporting non-traditional founders and also focuses on design-centric investments for both consumer and enterprise products. Albert has a deep background at the intersection of design and business. Prior to NEA he was the Managing Director of IDEO's New York office, where he brought more than a decade of experience in digital product, communication, and venture design to bear. He specialized in developing new offerings and incubating ventures for clients based on consumer insights in a wide range of industries, including retail, financial services, consumer technology, and fashion. He has worked with companies such as Target, American Express, SoulCycle, and Ford. He previously held a Director role at the design firm 2×4, and founded their Asia office in Beijing. Earlier in his career he was a design architect at Frank Gehry's office. Albert holds a BA in architecture from U.C. Berkeley, a MFA in graphic design from Yale, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He was also named to Fast Company's 1000 Most Creative People in Business in 2014.

Anne Berkowitch

Anne Berkowitch is the co-founder of Bionic, an enterprise growth solution that helps companies increase the success and speed of their innovation commercialization. Dr. Michael J. Zinner

Dr. Michael J. Zinner, M.D., a renowned cancer surgeon and researcher, is the Founding CEO and Executive Medical Director of the Miami Cancer Institute, a new $430M state-of-the-art Baptist Health South Florida hospital. Dr. Zinner previously was at the Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in Boston, where he served as clinical director and surgeon-in-chief at the Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is also co-founder of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Center at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. During his time in Boston, Dr. Zinner served as the Moseley Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and founded Harvard's Center for Surgery and Public Health. The author of more than 230 academic papers, he serves on the editorial boards of the Annals of Surgery, Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery and the Journal of the American College of Surgeons. From 2008 to 2010, Dr. Zinner was chairman of the Board of Governors of the American College of Surgeons and is now a vice chairman of the College's Board of Regents. Additionally, he chairs the College's Health Policy and Advocacy Committee. Dr. Zinner received his medical degree from the University of Florida and completed his surgical residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md.

Dr. William "Pepper" Denman

Dr. William "Pepper" Denman, MBChB, FRCA received his medical training in the United Kingdom, completing his residency at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London followed by a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. During his full-time medical practice he was involved in multiple clinical trials and development of pharmaceuticals and devices, particularly in the areas of pediatrics and respiratory devices. Dr. Denman filed and was awarded several patents while focusing on solutions for unmet clinical needs. Leveraging this expertise, in 2003, he began his career at Tyco Healthcare, now Covidien, becoming the Chief Medical Officer and VP for Medical Affairs in 2007. In 2010, Dr. Denman joined GE Healthcare as Chief Medical Officer, supporting all facets of the business. Following his tenure at GEHC, he set up Denman Associates, where he advised and supported start-up and early stage ventures in the medical device, diagnostics and pharamaceutical space. He is still actively involved in several other early opportunity, while currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer of Sirtex (acquired by a major Chinese pharmaceutical company), a company focused on liver cancer. Dr. Denman continues to practice at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston while maintaining his accademic affiliation at Harvard Medical School. He also is co-leader of an annual mission to Vietnam where he provides care to children and medical teaching to those who care for children.

Elizabeth Ventura

Timothy Chapman

Prior to launching an independent advisory practice, Mr. Chapman served as President of STERIS's Healthcare segment (NYSE: STE) where he was responsible for all of STERIS's healthcare business units. Previously, Mr. Chapman served as a Director (Senior Partner) at McKinsey & Company, a global management-consulting firm. He joined the Firm in 1985, was elected Partner in 1992 and elected Director in 1997. During his 22 years with McKinsey, he was one of the founding partners of the Firm's Operations practice, focused on building world-class manufacturing, supply chain, purchasing, and product development capabilities for clients. In addition, he was a leader the Firm's Healthcare practice, serving health systems across the U.S. on strategy, operational and organizational issues. During his tenure with McKinsey, he was widely regarded as one of the Firm's leaders in defining and executing transformational performance improvement programs that included rapid cost reduction, process re-engineering, pricing and sales force effectiveness, and global sourcing and outsourcing initiatives. Tim co-founded McKinsey's purchasing and supply management practice and led purchasing transformations at more than 30 clients, within and outside the healthcare sector. Mr. Chapman is a Director Emeritus at McKinsey & Company.
