Arlene Mohammed is an Associate with Eberly & Associates, Inc. She earned her BBA in Accounting from Kennesaw State College (now known as Kennesaw State University). She has over 25 years' experience in the Engineering industry where she manages the finance, human resources, payroll, benefits, and office management for Eberly & Associates, Inc.
Arlene joined SDA Atlanta in October 2013 and earned her CDFA certification in Spring 2015.
Arlene loves to keep herself busy as she spends time with her husband (Rick) of 32 years, with her family playing games, eating and socializing, playing sand volleyball, and organizing family functions. She currently serves as the Treasurer on her Home Owners Association (HOA) board.
Arlene was born in Trinidad, BWI, later lived in St. Croix (US Virgin Islands), then Miami, FL and moved to Atlanta, GA right out of high school.
Eliza Lowe, CDFA is Contracts Manager & Associate Principal at Pond, a multi-discipline A/E/C/P firm located in Peachtree Corners. Eliza joined SDA Atlanta in September 2019 and became CDFA certified the following month; she has 13 years of experience in the industry. In her role at Pond, Eliza manages the creation, review and execution of new contracts with clients, subcontractors and independent contractors. She is responsible for ensuring the firm is current and compliant with licensure, registration and annual reports as required by the various states in which it performs work, as well as with the Federal government where necessary. As the firm's acting Facility Security Officer, she also manages facility and personnel security clearance issuance for the company's large portfolio of Department of Defense work and the employees who perform on these contracts. Eliza chairs Pond's Philanthropy Committee; the Committee consists of 4 pillars which strive to better local communities through both corporate and employee contributions of time and funds. Eliza holds a Bachelor's in Communication from the University of Central Florida in Orlando.
Eliza lives in Dunwoody with her husband Nathan, two dogs and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys trying new restaurants throughout Atlanta, running 5K (and sometimes longer!) races, and traveling as often as possible.
Jen Grant, CDFA is the Office Administrator for Macgregor Associates Architects, Inc. Jen has been with Macgregor Associates Architects since 2013 and has held the Office Administrator role since 2015. Jen joined SDA in 2016 and has previously held an interim position of Secretary for the SDA Atlanta Chapter from July through December 2017. Before joining the AEC industry, Jen worked for Delta Airlines and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals holding administrative roles in both organizations.
Jen has a B.A. in Organizational Management from Oglethorpe University. Jen is married to Kurtis Grant, AIA and lives in Roswell, GA. In her personal time, Jen enjoys traveling with Kurtis, taking a hike in the woods, cooking and baking from scratch, throwing pottery and weaving on her loom.
Mila Ruth Smith is a motivated and highly skilled professional with 25+ years of progressive finance experience demonstrating the ability to oversee day-to-day operations while driving profitability.
She joined SDA in 2013 and immediately stepped up to serve in whatever capacity she could; with the exception of the two years she spent focusing on family, she has enjoyed serving on the board in one capacity or another since 2015.
In 2015 Mila was awarded the SDA Star Award and she earned her CDFA certification.
