SPANISH AT ACADEMY

Teaching a foreign language to our students is essential to their future success... At Academy, we realize that our world is globalizing more and more every day, and we recognize the need to teach our students about the lifestyles and customs of others, especially those in the Spanish-speaking world. The Spanish language is the fourth most spoken language in the world (after Mandarin, Hindi, and English), however, if you count only native speakers, it ranks third, before English. It is estimated that the Hispanic population of the United States will increase to more than fifty million by the year 2015. Additionally, Spanish is the second most spoken second language in Europe, after English. As our world globalizes and urbanizes, it is essential that the next generation learn how to communicate with people from all different backgrounds. We hope that our preschool Spanish program helps them to do just that.
