ST. ANTHONY'S

St. Anthony's was founded in 1957 in Kitimat, British Columbia by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Prince George (CISPG) and belongs to Christ the King Parish. We offer classes from Pre-Kindergarten to Middle School (grades 7-8-9) with a total staff of 21 Classroom Teachers, Educational Assistants and Specialty Teachers. Our student population is over 200 students and growing!... Provincial funding, first granted to independent schools in 1979 at 30%, now stands at 50% of what is allotted per student attending a public school. To make up some of the difference needed to operate the school, student families pay a monthly tuition rate. As well, our staff members accept a reduced salary and we turn to our PSG for fundraising. All of these methods ensure we are able to operate and maintain the school...
