Brienne Williams

Dr. Brienne Williams completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Upon graduation, Dr. Williams relocated to Long Island, NY where she completed an Internal Medicine & Surgery internship at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists. She then took a full-time position as part of their Emergency team before going on to complete a cardiology internship and residency under the guidance of Ultravet Mobile's founder, Dr. George Kramer. Dr. Williams is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialty of Cardiology. For many years, she has worked as part of the Ultravet Mobile team, reading mobile echocardiogram scans. While she enjoys all aspects of practicing cardiology, she particularly enjoys interventional surgical procedures including balloon valvuloplasty, patent ductus arteriosus occlusion, and pacemaker implantation. In her free time, Dr. Williams enjoys running, cooking, reading, and spending time with family and her two cats.

Dr. George Kramer

A native of Long Island, Dr. George Kramer's lifelong dream was to become a veterinarian. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont in Burlington, VT, and the University of Maryland in College Park, MD, where he graduated with honors. After completing a master's program in molecular biology at Northeastern University in Boston, MA., he entered Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Grafton, MA, where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1986. In 1985-1986 he also served as Physiology Teaching Fellow at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. After earning his DVM degree, Dr. Kramer completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery followed by a residency in cardiology at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Kramer is board-certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialty of cardiology. He is the founder of both Ultravet Mobile and Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists' Bohemia location, where he is also serves as their current Medical Director and the Program Director of their ACVIM-approved Cardiology Residency Program. His professional interests include cardiology, internal medicine, oncology, ultrasonography and echocardiography. Dr. Kramer has lectured locally, nationally and internationally including annual forums of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, International Symposia of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, Veterinary Professional Quest Conferences, Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conferences, Western States Veterinary Conference, University of Paris Veterinary College, Science and Veterinary Medicine College, Tianjin Agricultural University, Tianjin, Peoples Republic of China, Westchester-Rockland Veterinary Medical Association, New York City Veterinary Medical Association and Long Island Veterinary Medical Association. Furthermore, he has published groundbreaking research on cardiomyopathy, novel interventional techniques and valve disease and has been named among the best veterinary cardiologists in the NYC metro area by New York Magazine.

Dr. Kevin Schabbing

Dr. Kevin Schabbing developed an early interest for Veterinary medicine by assisting his father who was a large animal veterinarian in southeast Missouri. Dr. Schabbing is a 2004 graduate of St. George's University. He has completed both a rotating internship in 2005 and an Internal Medicine residency here at Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists in 2013. Dr. Schabbing has published two case reports describing a rare cardiac myxosarcoma in a dog and an original surgical technique in dogs with brachiocephalic syndrome and laryngeal obstruction. He has particular interests in gastrointestinal, autoimmune, and infectious diseases. In July of 2020, Dr. Schabbing began a cardiology residency with Atlantic Coast New York Veterinary Specialists under the guidance of Ultravet Mobile's founder, Dr. George Kramer. He has a strong desire to help both people and pets. Dr. Schabbing characterizes his work style as focusing on honesty with realistic expectations. He is no stranger to challenging cases, and works diligently on those where a diagnosis remains elusive. Nonetheless, his commitment to both the patient and owner remains his highest priority. In his spare time, Dr. Schabbing enjoys hiking with his two Australian cattle dogs and spending time with his family.

Heather Hannawalt

Heather has been a part of the veterinary field for over 20 years and has been a licensed veterinary technician for 10 of those years. She attended Mercy College and graduated with a BS in Veterinary Technology before going on to earn her license. Her extensive veterinary experience has allowed her to work as a surgical technician, emergency technician and in general practice over the years. She went on to graduate from The CURE Center for Ultrasound Research and Education in Westchester, NY in 2016 before starting her career with us at Ultravet Mobile. Heather has devoted her life to caring for animals and has a great passion and love for what she does. Her love of animals dates back to her childhood years. Today, Heather has many pets of her own, which include two dogs; a Cairn Terrier named Chase and a Standard Poodle named Jasper, a Parakeet named Jimmer Jammers, a rat named Luna and a Blue Fronted Amazon Parrot named Zachary. In her free time, Heather enjoys spinning wool and knitting as well as a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking.

Matthew Waggoner

Matthew began his journey in the world of animal medicine over 30 years ago when he first became a Licensed Veterinary Technician. He has experience working in general practice, mixed animal, emergency and 5 years in oncology. Matthew had an interest in ultrasound since the late 1990's and eventually went on to graduate from the Sound School of Advanced Veterinary Imaging in 2015. When Matthew isn't working, he enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, hiking, camping and spending time with his wife, Mary, and rescue dog, Ruby.
