Ashley Lloyd joined Whitman Partners in the fall of 2018 as a Portfolio Manager. She was promoted to Senior Portfolio Manager in October of 2022. With a background in retail store management, Ashley has honed the unique skills of customer relations, leadership and employee development and mentorship. With a 6-year tenure with Buffalo Exchange, Ashley was the store manager for 3 locations throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Born in San Diego, CA, Ashley and her family relocated to the Bitterroot Valley in Montana for fly fishing and snow sports. She attended University of Oregon and earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology. After graduating, Ashley resided in many locations around the PNW before settling down in Portland in 2018. In her free time, you can find Ashley enjoying concerts or exploring the many hiking trails Oregon has to offer.
Brittany joined Whitman Partners in 2022 as Head of Talent for the Human Resources Department.
She was born and raised in the City of Roses and recently moved back from Nevada. It took only a year away from home before she heeded the call to return to the Pacific Northwest.
Brittany got her start several years ago at Columbia Sportswear, working in client services and recruitment. She found building relationships with candidates while finding a job match that would boost their careers and improve their socioeconomic status personally rewarding.
Brittany is new to parenthood, so much of her free time is spent hanging out with her 13-month-old daughter. She is constantly in awe of her daughter's spirited and vivid personality. Her family takes advantage of living near the Willamette River in Portland, so most days are spent walking along the waterfront, rain or shine.
Caitlin joined Whitman Partners in 2021 as an Information Technology Specialist for the IT Department.
Born and raised in Bend, Oregon, home of the last Blockbuster on Earth, Caitlin is a self-taught information technologist. She began working for Apple, Inc., first as a phone advisor, eventually working her way up to Service Manager. Fluent in Apple Software, she is certified to take apart and repair all their products in an authorized environment. Her most recent position was in Nike's IT Department at their World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.
Caitlin has supported herself independently since she was 15, making it a challenge to simultaneously attend college and make a living. But she plans to earn a degree in social work, with a minor in computer science.
In her free time, Caitlin loves playing guitar and doing art, both physically and digitally. When she gets her hands on any material under the sun-be it clay, wood, or foam-she'll transform them into beautiful works of art.

In 2021, Carisa embarked on her journey with Whitman Partners as the Writer and Media Relations Representative. Today, she commands the spotlight as the Editorial and Media Relations Manager, weaving captivating narratives and shaping our media presence with finesse and flair.
She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a child, she always had a love for reading and writing stories. Her mother, a geriatric nurse, nurtured in Carisa a respect and fascination with science.
She attended college in her hometown at Temple University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. After graduation, she spent six years as a general assignment reporter for a community newspaper in the NW Philadelphia neighborhood she grew up in. She spent a year as a staff writer for Coffey Communications, a healthcare marketing firm based in Walla Walla, Washington before deciding to go on her own to freelance. She has been published in National Geographic, Cancer Today Magazine, and Understood.org.
In her free time, Carisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading, writing fiction, and watching Marvel movies with her two boys.
Claire Fenwick joined Whitman Partners in 2022 as a Portfolio Manager for Permanent Placements.
She was born in Jacksonville, FL, and attended Florida State University, majoring in Marketing. Previously, she was a media planner and buyer, where she assisted clients in creating radio and television ads for local outlets. She also worked in investment real estate property management, managing 500+ rental homes across the Jacksonville metro area. Eventually, she entered the manufacturing/distribution industry as a recruiter, placing candidates in various roles across facilities nationwide.
Claire enjoys offshore fishing, working out, event decorating, and snuggling with her dog Fisher in her free time.

Dan Ryan joined Whitman Partners in 2023 as the Controller.
Dan was born and raised in Glendale, Arizona. He earned his BS in Finance from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. After a couple years working as a stockbroker, 2008 happened and he decided to go back to school to get his accounting degree and an MBA. After starting out in public accounting, Dan moved to Portland, Oregon to work in the software industry where he spent nearly 10 years working for some of Portland's best-known startups like Puppet and Zapproved.
In his free time, Dan loves getting outdoors any way he can - hiking, camping, backpacking, and even the occasional triathlon. When not outside, he loves playing board games of all kinds with anyone he can con into sitting down with him.

Greg Masson joined Whitman Partners as the founding healthcare partner in 2007, having previously worked for a national search firm. Greg has successfully handled top-level searches for hospitals across the country for over a decade. As the second partner in the firm, Greg was instrumental in developing Whitman Partners' innovative approach to client consultation and recruitment of top perioperative talent.
Greg grew up in Salem, Oregon, and graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Oregon. When he is not in the office, he enjoys skiing the slopes of the Cascade Mountains with his wife and growing family.
Heather joined Whitman Partners in 2020 as the Onboarding Specialist in the Interim Department. In 2022 Heather took on the role of Human Resources Manager.
Heather grew up in Bossier City, Louisiana. When in high school, she moved to Henderson, Nevada. Heather attended Western Governors University and earned her degree in Business with an emphasis on HR Management. Upon graduation, Heather held various leadership and HR roles. She worked for Target for eleven and half years where she became the Human Resources Team Leader.
In her free time, Heather enjoys traveling with her family. One of the best places Heather has ever been to is Fiji. She hopes to do more international travel in the future. When Heather and her husband travel to a new place they enjoy trying out local restaurants, breweries, and cideries. She is obsessed with pizza so they will always be on the hunt to find a delicious local pizza place to try.

Ines joined Whitman Partners in 2021 as an Onboarding Specialist for the Interim Department and has been recently promoted to Talent Agent.
She was born in Germany, but her family made their way to Portland, OR, when she was three years old. She earned a Bachelor of Science in General Science (with minors in Biological Anthropology and Art History) from the University of Oregon.
During her teen and college years, she worked at OshKosh B'gosh, Forever 21, American Apparel, Sunglass Hut, and a brief stint as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). Before coming to Whitman Partners, her previous position was as a Marketing Assistant for the Roseland Theater, one of Portland's top concert venues.
Ines enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, exploring Portland's restaurants and dive bars, international travel, researching vintage fashion/art, and watching TV shows and movies.

Jennifer joined Whitman Partners in 2021 as a Portfolio Manager for permanent placements.
She was raised in Loxahatchee, FL, a rural community in southern FL. Loxahatchee is a Seminole Indian word for "River of Turtles." Jennifer attended the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition.
Jennifer conducted health-related research under two physicians during college and worked for Southwestern Advantage, an entrepreneurial program for university students. With Southwestern Advantage, she sold $30,000 worth of educational books door to door in a single summer and finished 32nd in the United States out of 1,000 first-year sellers. Other positions include administrative clerk for an emergency department, sales associate for a gym, and personal trainer.
In her free time, Jennifer likes to work out at the gym and submerse herself in the outdoors, be it fishing, hiking, or camping. She loves her two cats, Socks and Phoenix, to absolute pieces (even when they get a little bit jealous during work calls).
Josiah Whitman is CEO of Whitman Partners and a Client Partner managing a portfolio of candidates and searches. In this role, Josiah leverages over a decade of Director of Surgical Services experience to work with Chief Nursing Officers and CEOs to identify, recruit, and develop surgical services director talent.
Josiah is the founder of Whitman Partners. Previously, he was a successful recruiter and manager with two national search firms.
Josiah has served in leadership capacities with the City of Portland Small Business Advisory Council, advising the Mayor of Portland and City Council on areas of interest to small business owners. He also served on the advisory board for the Greater Portland Tennis Council.
Josiah was published in OR Today Magazine on the subjects of "Piecing Together a Winning Team" and "Industry Insights: 2014 Staffing Q&A."
As a Client Partner, Kent Van Vleet manages a portfolio of diverse candidates and client searches. He handles all aspects of client development, candidate recruitment, and search administration on behalf of his clients to coordinate with the entire team. With each search, Kent's focus lies in regional and domain relevant candidate recruitment. He brings more than a decade of business experience in the technology, entertainment, manufacturing, and healthcare fields.
Kent holds a BA in international political economy from the Colorado College, where he was an active participant in the student government and German program. Originally from the mountains of Colorado, he enjoys traveling, playing guitar, skiing, golfing, and enjoying the outdoors with his wife and two children.

Melissa's journey with Whitman Partners commenced in 2022 as an Associate Client Partner. However, by October of that year, she strategically transitioned to our Marketing team, embracing the title of Marketing Associate. Building on her trajectory, September 2023 saw Melissa taking charge as the Social Media & Communications Manager. Fast forward to March 2024, and Melissa has climbed the ranks to become the Head of Social Media & Communications.
Born in Washington DC and raised in Northern VA, Melissa currently resides just outside Fredericksburg, VA. Her educational journey led her through West Virginia University and George Mason University, where she pursued majors in Communications, Marketing, and Debate Theory. With a robust career spanning over 26 years, Melissa has excelled as an executive assistant to C-Level executives, specializing in office management, corporate events, networking, and customer service. Her diverse industry experience encompasses small businesses, start-ups, tech companies, government contracting, law firms, and healthcare.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Melissa finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends. She and her husband enjoy country road rides on their motorcycle during their leisure moments. An animal enthusiast through and through, she's got a soft spot and extends her care to their rescue dogs, a kitty, a chinchilla, and a few other special wildlife fur-friends.
During her downtime, Melissa switches gears to enjoy nature photography, boating, fishing, hiking, and live concerts. Her playlist is all about the laid-back tunes of island reggae, with a special shoutout to Stick Figure, and the soothing melodies of acoustic folk.

Peter Curcio joined Whitman Partners in 2022 as a software developer in the Information Technology department.
He was born and raised in Oregon, spent his childhood in Milwaukie, and now lives in Clackamas. During middle school, he began playing the saxophone. As a high schooler, he participated in several regional and state solo competitions (placing 3rd in state one year).
At the University of Oregon, he majored in music and played in the marching band, traveling with the university's sports teams. He also taught private saxophone lessons and played in the pit orchestra for several local theater productions. While playing music had been a life-long passion, he had other interests. He decided to take a break and spent a few years working as a Starbucks barista and later a supervisor. Eventually, he decided to return to school and pursue a degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science at Oregon State University. He then spent a decade working as a personal trainer, registered dietitian, and a manager in corporate wellness.
However, Peter is a self-described computer geek. After dabbling in freelance web development over the years and finding himself doing tech-related work in most of his previous positions, he finally decided to enter the tech field.
When he is not spending time with his wife, two daughters, and their dog, he is watching sports (he and his wife are big baseball fans), working out, or geeking out on computer-related things in his "homelab."
Rachel Butt joined the Whitman Partners team in early 2017 as an Associate Portfolio Manager, assisting in recruitment and candidate support. In the Fall of the same year she joined the Interim Team, and now manages recruitment, deal administration, and candidate support of Whitman Partners travelling leadership and consulting department. Coming from a background of management and hospital administration, she loves the fast-paced environment and human connection her role allows.
Rachel moved to Portland, OR from Boston, MA in 2016, and lives in the Knob Hill district; known for its access to restaurants, great coffee, and greenery. In her free time she enjoys sitting at outdoor cafes with her dog, Sofie, antiquing, and traveling to Oregon's coast.

Steve joined Whitman Partners in 2021 as the Information Technology Manager for the IT Department.
He grew up in Montana, where many days of camping and fishing nurtured a love of the outdoors. He became interested in computers at an early age; he had access to the IMSAI 8080, an early microcomputer, at his high school. He spent hours transcribing game programs (no graphics, text-only) from the backs of computer magazines so he could play them.
He worked as a software developer for a handful of small Portland-area businesses, mainly in the manufacturing and travel industries, in the early days of his career. Transitioning to consulting work allowed him to experience IT in a wider variety of industries, including insurance, medical, warehousing, and government. This helped him realize his true love was working for a small company with a great culture (like Whitman Partners!).
During his free time, Steve enjoys mountain biking with his dog running alongside him and traveling. He wants to up his travel game!

Zach Parker joined Whitman Partners in 2019 as an Interim Program Coordinator. Following his graduation from the school of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon, Zach began working at a luxury resort in the Bay Area. As the Guest Services Manager he was responsible for the daily operations of the hotel, as well as ensuring guest satisfaction. In this role going above-and-beyond to exceed guest expectations became a habit. Zach carries this people-first mentality with him to Whitman Partners, where he takes pride in helping interim candidates find the "right fit."
When Zach's out of the office he enjoys exploring Portland's wild food scene, kayaking the Columbia River, hanging out with his dog, and dreaming about the 49ers' next Super Bowl appearance.
