Jo has a wealth of experience in finance and administration. Her career commenced in banking with Barclays Bank and then the Co-op Bank. She switched her career to Payroll, working for Powergen PLC, followed by a senior position in payroll at National Grid's head office, for several years.
Jo went on to manage 4 payrolls for an Exhibition Company based at the NEC, Birmingham. She also has experience in retail and hospitality after a career break to raise a family. Since joining Ridgeways Jo has become responsible for the office general administration, purchase and sales ledger, invoicing, website and marketing administration whilst also acting as PA to Phil.
Out of work, she enjoys exercise, running, Yoga, Pilates, walking outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Phil formed Ridgeways over 30 years ago in 1991, soon after qualifying as a Chartered Quantity Surveyor. His aim was to create a small and personable, very professional QS / Project Management Company.
Phil's role as Director of the company is to lead the team but he remains actively involved with the day to day commitments of the projects that Ridgeways handle on behalf of their clients. Phil assists clients in budgeting, planning and procuring their construction works and heads the team in their quest to maintain accurate cost control on all projects through to completion. In his time as Director of Ridgeways, Phil has assisted numerous aspiring young QS's to become qualified and move up their career ladder.
Out of work, he enjoys socialising, playing golf, running, cycling, watching football, property maintenance and garden work. Phil is also treasurer of his local Rotary Club and volunteers as a helper at his town's youth club.

Tim has worked for Ridgeways on a consultancy basis for several years now. He is a fully Qualified QS with a wealth of experience. He has a particular expertise in the measurement and estimating of construction works and works alongside Phil and Elliot as part of the team in undertaking the full range of Ridgeways' varied workload.
Out of work, Tim enjoys walking, playing music and gardening.
