Bill is a HFMA past president and a member of the national NHS financial improvement team, supporting a number of healthcare systems across the UK. He has 25 years of healthcare experience as a director for acute hospitals, as well as mental health and community service organisations
Bill is a chartered accountant and has worked across the NHS and private sector, gaining experience in financial management, IT, estates, planning and business development. He is also a governor at Anglia Ruskin University.

Caroline was appointed as the group chief executive at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust in 2019. Prior to that she had been the trust's chief finance officer since 2011. She was the HFMA finance director of the year in 2012.
Before joining the Royal Free, Caroline was director of strategy at NHS North Central London. Prior to that she was an associate partner in KPMG's health strategy team. She has spent most of her career in NHS finance, having been director of finance at the Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and City and Hackney Primary Care Trust.
Caroline is also a trustee of the charity Overcoming MS.

Catherine has been executive director of finance at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board since March 2021. Prior to this she had been the finance director at North Bristol NHS Trust since 2013. Catherine trained and qualified as an accountant while working within NHS finance and became a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in 2003.
In 2020 Catherine was awarded HFMA finance director of the year in recognition of her leadership and contribution to the health service response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Claire is currently the director of finance at Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board. Prior to this she has held a number of senior roles at local, regional and national level.
Claire began her career in the NHS on the National Financial Management Training Scheme in 1996. Since then, she has spent most of her career working within the North West in a number of NHS provider organisations and at the strategic health authority before going on to spend two years as the chief of staff to the chief finance officer of NHS England.

Dawn is the chief finance officer at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. She is a qualified and seasoned finance professional with 25 years' experience at senior and board levels, with a successful track record of achievements operating as a director and deputy chief executive in complex multi-site NHS organisations.
Prior to joining the Mid and South Essex Hospitals Group, Dawn supported the successful merger of Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals, to form East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust.
Kavita has been working in healthcare management and transformation for over twenty years in the NHS and consulting with EY and KPMG. She leads a diverse range of healthcare improvement projects with a number of trusts and health boards across the country specialising in financial improvement, operational improvement, pathway redesign and service reconfiguration.
She started her career as a doctor but decided to move into healthcare management. She joined the NHS Wales Financial Management Graduate programme in 2001 and after gaining her CIPFA qualifications worked in Cardiff and Vale Health Board in senior management positions for 13 years before moving into consulting.

Emma is responsible for the association's policy, technical and research work, as well as its communications activities. This includes developing a programme of guidance and research to support members and the wider NHS finance community.

Ian oversees information technology, the HFMA conference centre at 110 Rochester Row, and all financial matters to do with the association, its branches and subsidiary companies. He is responsible for relationships with auditors, banks and brokers.
Lee currently holds two roles as chief finance officer. He joined Hull University Teaching Hospitals in 2012, then in October 2020 was also appointed as chief finance officer for North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust.
Prior to 2012, he held director of finance posts at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.
For a temporary period from 2019 to 2021, Lee also led the finance function of the fledgling Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care System.
Lee is the chief finance officer at South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board.
Prior to joining the integrated care board, Lee was the chief finance officer and deputy chief executive at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust from 2017 and chief finance and strategy officer at Derbyshire Community Healthcare Services from November 2021. Lee has worked in the NHS since 1993 (in Devon, Hampshire, London and Derbyshire). He was appointed to his first finance director role in 2007 and spent three years working as a regional director of finance for the NHS Trust Development Authority and then NHS Improvement.
Lee is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA). He is a member of the CIPFA Council and is vice chair of their Public Policy and Reform Faculty Board.
Lee is chair of the Policy and Research Committee.
Mark is responsible for the strategic and operational running of the association and its associated companies. He also performs the legal role of secretary of the association; and is managing editor of the Healthcare Finance magazine. Mark reports to the president of the association and is accountable to the Board of Trustees.

Nicci Briggs is currently the chief finance officer at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System. Nicci's previous roles include director of finance at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and executive director of finance, contracting and corporate governance, at Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Groups. It was in this role that she won the 2021 HFMA finance director of the year award, for innovative leadership in developing a nationally acclaimed primary care funding model to tackle health inequalities, addressing significant system deficit, bringing together three finance teams and championing diversity and inclusion.

Owen was appointed as director of finance and estates at Northern Health and Social Care Trust in September 2015. He assumed the role of deputy chief executive in April 2020.
A graduate of the University of Ulster, Owen began his career in the finance department of the Western Health and Social Services Board in Derry in 1988. He progressed through a series of finance roles within the health service across Northern Ireland and had a six-year spell as a chief finance officer in the education sector from 2004 to 2010. He returned to the health and social care sector in 2010 and was assistant director of finance with the Health and Social Care Board until 2015, during which time he spent a year as acting director of finance.

Peter was appointed to the role of deputy chief finance officer (operational finance) at NHS England and Improvement in September 2021. Prior to this Peter had worked at the Royal Free London as group chief finance officer since September 2018 and as group director of planning for two and a half years prior to that.
Previously, Peter was director of finance and informatics at Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and has also worked at the Royal Free London as director of financial operations.
Peter is a qualified chartered management accountant and first joined the NHS on its national financial management training scheme. He has worked for a number of NHS organisations, including the Royal Marsden, as well as on assignment with NHS IMAS (interim management and support) and Haringey Primary Care Trust.

Richard McCallum is the director of health finance and governance at the Scottish Government where he has responsibility for the effective stewardship of the £15 billion Health and Sport Portfolio budget.
Richard's finance career began with KPMG, where he worked in external and internal audit. Since 2010 he has worked at the Scottish Government in various roles, including a two-year period heading the financial services department at NHS Fife.

Simon Crowther was appointed as the executive director of finance and performance at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust in September 2020. Prior to this Simon spent over five years as finance director at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and also had responsibility for procurement, information and estates.
Simon has also previously held board level roles in both provider and commissioning organisations. In addition to this Simon is a former East Midlands Branch chair, he is a member of the HFMA's Policy and Research Committee and is a qualified coaching practitioner. He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).

Wendy was appointed as the director of finance and estates at South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust in September 2020. She has responsibility for all aspects of financial management and governance within the organisation, as well as management of the entire trust estate.
Wendy is a qualified chartered accountant who has worked across a number of organisations within health and social care in Northern Ireland. This has included seven years as assistant director of finance in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust and three years as the director of finance at the HSC Business Services Organisation.
