Adam Osborne

Adam is one of Whitwell Hall Country Centre's seasonal activity staff. Adam has done a range of things in his life of work. After leaving school, Adam embarked upon a career within the military for eight years. When he returned to civilian life he started to work within the catering and hotel trade, after that it was within the care sector before joining a local vehicle renting company. During this time, Adam became involved with his local Explorer Scout Unit with Matt. This evolved into moving into a higher role within Scouting.

Cathy Durrant

Cathy began working at Whitwell Hall in 2012 as the house keeper & kitchen assistant. Cathy then moved into the office as an administrator as well as an activity leader & keeping us all in check! Cathy normally takes the arts & craft activities such as pottery & boat building, although we all do anything & everything!

Emily McKean

Emily is another member of staff that you may come across if you are a school group staying in the hall. She helps us in the kitchen at evening meal times as well as helping with the some of cleaning at weekend turn-around times.

Matt Tebbutt

Matt started his interest in wildlife and conservation when he joined the 'Goldcrest' wildlife club run by the ranger at Holt Country Park when he was just 8, since then Matt has followed his interest through and in year 10 at Reepham High School, Matt visited Whitwell Hall to speak to Kevin and John about which steps to take next to reach his goal of conservation work. After schooling had finished, Matt went on to Easton College, completing a National Diploma in Conservation Management. At the end of this, Matt choose to follow it on with a degree, something he had never thought about before.

Paula Wright

Paula has joined the Whitwell Hall team from Henderson Green Primary School. Paula used to be a cover supervisor at Henderson Green Primary. Paula joins as a cook and general assistant, look out for her in the kitchen! Over the past two decades the name Ray Mears has become recognised throughout the world as an authority on the subject of Bushcraft and Survival. He has also become a household name through his various television series, including Tracks, World of Survival, Trips Money Can't Buy with Ewan McGregor, The Real Heroes of Telemark and many more. These programmes have reached out and touched the hearts of everyone, from small children to grandparents. They are enjoyed by many because of Ray's down to earth approach, his obvious love for his subject and the empathy and respect he shows for indigenous peoples and their cultures. It is obvious to some, and a surprise to others to discover that Ray has spent his life learning these skills and is truly a master of the subject he calls Wilderness Bushcraft.
