Carsten Bethge has over 20 years of experience in the solar PV space in supplying crystalline silicon and thin film solar modules, DC/AC inverters, electrical switchgear, racking systems and complete solar systems. He has developed, acquired, engineered and executed large ground mounted and rooftop BIPV solar systems for commercial and utility applications. He has designed and developed residential solar packages and has trained over 200 solar installers. He has held engineering, manufacturing, sales, marketing and senior management positions at Advanced Green Technologies, WorldWater & Power, United-Solar Ovonics, Siemens Solar, Siemens Energy, AEG, ABB and I-T-E.
Mr. Bethge also has experience in business development, strategic planning, product development, organizational development, quality assurance, project management, distribution channel management, and materials management. He has supplied solar cells, solar panels, solar systems, power electronics, control systems and electrical apparatus to OEM, marine, telecom, residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, municipal, military and utility markets in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.
Mr. Bethge holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick, a post graduate Diploma in Management from McGill University and an Advanced Management Certificate from Duke University. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical, Electronics, Engineers and the American Solar Energy Society.
