Connor Hakan

Connor Hakan is an Associate Attorney for the firm. Connor has a passion for legal defense work, trials, and negotiation. Prior to working for Tom Anelli & Associates, Connor worked at the Onondaga District Attorney's office where he was responsible for performing legal research on DWI cases, trial strategy, and appeals. Connor also worked at the Disability Rights Clinic in Syracuse, where he provided representation to individuals with disabilities. His cases involved public accessibility, reasonable accommodations, and hostile work environments. Connor also has experience as a TV News reporter, enterprising his own stories throughout Central New York involving cybercrime, nuclear power safety, climate change, and local politics. Attorney Hakan graduated Summa Cum Laude, receiving his bachelor's degree from Syracuse University in 2017. He went on to receive his Juris Doctorate in 2020 from Syracuse University College of Law. He is admitted to the Fourth Department, Appellate Division of the State of New York.

Evan Naylor

Evan Naylor is a passionate defense attorney. Prior to joining the firm, Evan spent two years honing his defense skills representing multi-national corporations and insurance companies from mass tort and general liability claims. His passion for criminal defense began during an externship at a local Appeals firm where he represented clients appealing their criminal convictions in the 3rd and 4th Department Appellate Divisions. He wrote briefs for clients convicted of DWI, Arson, Drug Crimes, Violent Felonies, Parole Violations, and Sexually-Based Offenses. His briefs returned successful results for numerous clients. Throughout law school Evan demonstrated an eagerness to assist the most vulnerable populations with legal representation, participating in both the Bankruptcy Clinic and the Elder and Health Law Clinic. As a student attorney, Evan successfully completed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy proceedings in Federal Court, and drafted and executed estate planning documents for those in need. During the summers he interned at a local Estate Planning firm where he continued to assist elderly persons draft wills, trusts, Power of Attorney documents, Health Care Proxy documents, and end of life instructions for countless clients. He was known for his calming demeanor and ability to put clients at ease while ensuring they were completely informed throughout the process. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Evan completed his Bachelors Degree in Political Science, with a Minor in Legal Studies at The University of Delaware in 2016 (Go Blue Hens!). He then attended Syracuse University College of Law where he received his J.D. in 2019 (Go Orange!). At Syracuse he was selected to serve as a Student Mentor to incoming students, assisting them throughout their orientation and guiding them during their first year of law school. Outside the courtroom Evan enjoys cooking, working on his car, going to concerts and ‘Cuse games, and exploring all the fun that Central New York has to offer. Evan is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Krystal Harrington

Attorney Harrington graduated Magna Cum Laude, receiving her Bachelor's Degree from SUNY Potsdam in 2005. Attorney Harrington then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate in 2008 from Syracuse University College of Law. She is admitted to the Fourth Department, Appellate Division and the United States District Court, Northern District of New York. Attorney Harrington has spent her entire career focusing on criminal defense work and looks forward to assisting you. Krystal Harrington is the Senior Associate Attorney for the firm. She has been practicing since 2009, when she was admitted to the Fourth Department. Since that time, Attorney Harrington has held numerous positions including working as an Associate Attorney in several private firms and working as an Assistant Public Defender in Jefferson County, New York. Attorney Harrington has handled hundreds of criminal cases from the initial stages of court proceedings up to and including arguing cases in the Fourth Department, Appellate Division. Prior to coming to work for Tom Anelli & Associates, Attorney Harrington was employed as the Principal Law Clerk in Jefferson County Court for the Honorable Kim Martusewicz. As Judge Martusewicz's law clerk, she was responsible for performing legal research, drafting jury instructions, reviewing discovery and writing decisions.

Paul Hofmann

Paul Hofmann is an Associate Attorney for the firm. He started practicing in 2007 in Nevada, representing criminal and civil Defendants in State and federal court. Prior to working for Tom Anelli & Associates, Paul served as Attorney General and Prosecutor for the Omaha Nation. During his time as a prosecutor, he prosecuted adult and juvenile criminal cases, as well as child and family services petitions. He also represented the Tribe in Indian Child Welfare Act cases in various county courts. Since joining Tom Anelli and Associates, Paul has handled hundreds of DWI cases. His exceptional experience in this area of the law, lends itself to the firm's clients receiving the best outcome possible, under the unique circumstances of their case. Attorney Hofmann received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate in 2006 from Ohio Northern University. He is admitted to the Third Department, Appellate Division of the State Of New York.
