The ATCM is actively engaged in academic study and ongoing research into the clinical application of Traditional Chinese Medicine. We have been working closely with the Department of Health and Health Professions' Council with a view to establishing statutory regulation in the UK for TCM practitioners. Before this can be achieved, ATCM plays an important role in assurance of the professional qualifications of its members as a self-voluntary regulator. All members of ATCM are properly trained in TCM or acupuncture to a degree of Bachelor or equivalent, or above.
